I want to start off by saying I'm really not a fan of mandatory QR code-scan-ordering thing. I fumble a lot with this kind of tech, IT DOESN'T COME NATURALLY TO ME and to me the whole thing NEEDS to be very user friendly. I expect having needed to take out my phone and scan the thing, i would be instantly, automatically, DIRECTLY sent to the restaurant's menu/order screen, but instead there's an intermediary page, where after some fumbling (yes i have problem with these 'modern' things) i found out i need to click on the http:verysuslookinglinkorsomething or to such effect to get to the restaurant's page, while at the same intermediary page, a very professional looking UI is seemingly directing my attention to it, unfortunately this very user friendly looking thing turns out to be an ad for some other thing , and i accidentally bought into it, thinking i was filling my card details for nando's order. CAN YOU NOT HAVE ME GO THROUGH THIS PROCESS WITHOUT EXPOSING ME TO INTERACTIVE ADS OF NON RELATED PRODUCTS?
Anyhow, prior to that, we were ushered in by the staff at the front to our table, and after putting some utensils and such i think, he just left us to go back to his post at the restaurant entrance, while we were left wondering why weren't we given menus?? it took a while before we agitatedly notice and realized we had to go through the annoying QR thing, which I detailed above. Considering there's a service charge, could you not PLEASE spare some time, directing us how to order our food and such? Some of us still expect the 'old fashion' way of giving our order from paper menus to a (human) waiter. If you want to dispense with the human interaction at least facilitate to ease us into process.
On top of that we had to get our own drinks. Like, really such 'minimum' service. I was expecting experience better than, not comparable to places like Subway.
Food wise, since my last visit to a Nando's was before the QR scan madness (meaning quite awhile) I think the quality and presentation has dropped. That said, it is still a decent meal, which would have, if other issues weren't there, left me satisfied enough already.

However, the most horrifying part was discovering a bug at the bottom of the rice, which is an absolute failure of basic hygiene standards.
Nando’s is a reputed restaurant, and one would expect them to prioritise cleanliness and food safety. This incident has shattered that trust. We attempted to reach out to them to report the issue, but there was no response. Eventually, we managed to connect with Grab’s customer service, only to be met with further disappointment. Instead of offering a full refund as a gesture of accountability and respect for hygiene standards, they proposed refunding only the affected item. This approach completely disregards the fact that contamination can affect the entire meal, not just a single component.
When I asked the customer service representative if he would personally eat the contaminated food, his response was shockingly dismissive. He said he would eat it and suggested "thinking positively." Thinking positively until I fall ill from food poisoning? This lack of concern for customer safety and satisfaction is beyond disappointing.
As a customer who used to order quite often from Nando’s , I expected better from them. This experience has left me questioning their commitment to hygiene, customer care, and accountability. I hope they address this serious issue and ensure no other customer has to go through such...
Read moreI’m a huge Nando’s fan but this branch is honestly the worst branch I’ve visited. Terrible service by staff and also manager. 😡 Took a while to be served. After taking orders, waiter did not repeat, which is alright if he’s confident that he will not make a mistake! He didn’t key in my order for sweet potato fries. And I’ve requested for it 3 TIMES! My family finished our meal and yet it hasn’t arrive! Nobody took the initiative to follow up with the order. I was so frustrated i went to the manager and asked for it. Then one of the worker was like “nah, sini!” I didn’t want to cause an argument so i just went back to my seat and guess what! The portion was SO SMALL! Even the fries with cheese was small. Being a regular of Nando’s, i know they normally serve it on their medium plates but they served in the small plates and when I asked, They said “er memang macam tu lah miss”.
