My visit to Robataya Izakaya getting worse. Twice my visit at One U branch seems fine, 3rd at Publika came across lousy Katsu Curry rice. Finally 4th at IOI city. Based on most peoples comment here & my experience, they probably, mostly good at skewers, beer or some sashimi but then i dont overall get a PROPER japanese food. My husband rarely comment on food until he discover his favourite condiment, wasabi. He says why no kick at all? We actually could just eat the wasabi like that, then realised it could be fake wasabi. Did the Suntory beer glass gotten smaller? Not sure if its just me but my matcha latte, gosh! could taste artificial sugar. The worse matcha latte for the 1st time. No matcha taste at all. Milky & sugary. Only item that i find good is Salmon Roll & Ton Taman (pork belly & omelette). When i think again, realised my 1st visit is Scotsman in ss2 which is also theirs. That branch is super small, crampy to walk around and overprice. That branch more famous for skewers and beer. The last i went there, half front shop is scotsman, half back is Robataya, rice and noodle operates during day time. Dont really understand what they do. Just focus what you good at okay. They are other restaurant do not have many types in menu but thats fine. Atleast they honest what they only good at. Even with that few good items they master it is worth mentioning comparing to those thick fancy menu looking but only satay...

Disappointing Visit at Robataya, IOI City Mall: Poor Customer Service and Frustrating Encounter

During my visit to Robataya at IOI City Mall on 12th June at 9:13 PM, my disappointment stemmed from the inconsistent service and frustrating encounter.

Despite expressing our preference to sit inside the restaurant, the waiter assigned us an outdoor table, even though there were no other guests. When we requested to be seated inside, we were initially rejected and told that seating was only available outside. Frustratingly, as I started recording the conversation, the waiter suddenly changed his mind and allowed us to sit inside. Unfortunately the recording cannot be uploaded here, only pictures, so I attach a screen shot of the respective waiter.

The waiter's attempt to justify their decision by stating that the last call is at 9:30 PM at 9:13 PM made no logical sense and added to our frustration.

Feeling dissatisfied with the experience, we made the decision to dine at Rakuzen instead, where we were warmly welcomed and enjoyed a great dinner.

In conclusion, my visit to Robataya at IOI City Mall on 12th June at 9:13 PM left me disappointed due to the poor customer service and the illogical explanation provided by the waiter. As a result, I cannot recommend this restaurant based on...
