K Fry Urban Korean IOI City Mall — Restaurant in Sepang

I’m a regular customer of K Fry. But my last visit to this branch today is, by far, the least unpleasant experience I ever had with K Fry. When I arrived roughly around 11 am, I directly got a table without having to wait in a line and there were still a lot of unoccupied tables. As seen here, my order was confirmed at 11.16 am. We received the drinks, tater tots and japchae after just a while. After almost an hour, we asked about the half chicken and white rice that we did not get yet and had been told that it will take around 10 minutes. So after few minutes, the white rice arrived, but still no chicken. So we asked again, roughly when can we get the chicken as my husband needs to estimate the time because he needs to go for Friday prayer (this was around 12.15pm, need to go prayer around 1pm) and the waiter, just ignore our question and went away just like that??? Then another waiter came and told us that it will take around 5 minutes for the chicken to arrive. Which it was not. Chicken arrived around 12.30pm and we were trying to eat in hurry as my husband need to rush for prayer.

Usually, the staffs at any other branches are VERY friendly and helpful, but not at this branch. Not even a word of sorry, not even a smile or anything. I guess it was a bad day & time to come and dine at K fry (it was a day after Deepavali so the crowd was a little bit overwhelming i guess? But when we arrived, there were still a lot of unoccupied tables). The most unsatisfying thing was, the other tableS who came later than us, received their food first and some even left before we even received the chicken.

We usually go to KL East Mall & KLCC branch and never had this kind of experience before. We never really need to wait for an hour to get our order even on weekend. Regarding staffs’ attitude, those at KL East branch was by far the best. They are super friendly especially with kids. We sometimes received free banchan from them, my kid even received a free scoop of ice cream and a small bowl of fries before. They frequently asked us if we needed chili sauce or anything to go with the fries we ordered. And at IOI Putrajaya branch, we even hardly received a smile from the staff. I don’t know if they did not expect a huge crowd on a Friday after a big holiday, but yeah, this happened today.

I was pretty dissapointed when i requested a birthday surprise but unfortunately i waited until i finished the meal there was NO BIRTHDAY SURPRISE.

I called the branch to confirm if i needed to pay anything before I went to Kfry IOI which i was WILLING TO PAY but the staff said no need payment just request to the staff there. Whan I was being seated at, i requested for a birthday surprise celebration and he said okay but with no surprise at all after eating my food.

And then i went to talk to the staff again for a birthday surprise again but there was no staff celebrated for me even after waiting for 10 mins with no food left. I was preparing to record the surprise alas with no surprise.

Then there was only this one staff gave me an ice cream and NO CELEBRATION AT ALL. I went to pay for the meal furiously and I told the person at the counter that there was no celebration surprise at all even when i requested TWICE but she just said sorry?

It was very dissapointing to as this was my first time to celebrate my FIANCE's BIRTHDAY at Kfry. Not sure if i would give a good review again for Kfry.

Sorry but this has hurt me and my fiance's feelings.

Please KFRY IOI, train your staff to be better at communicating with eachother. I had to get up from my seat after finishing my food for a request of a birthday surprise. Please DONT do this to OTHER customers.
