Visited on a Tuesday, got our ticket online from wonderfly which is RM 45 per person. Weekend price will be higher.
I do feel is abit pricy, as the place to explore inside is quite limited, and the animals inside is limited as well, if you really want to visit a farm farm per say, there are definitely other farm that "worth" the price, however i still find IOI city farm is a good place to visit if you are planning to spend some quality family time in the mall, like you get to shop, dine, play and even check out plants, animals even able to interact with guinea pigs, rabbits, duck, chick and also some fish and stingrays. Doesn't it just sound like a fulfilling family day in one package?
Me and my wife has spend close to two hour inside, we even get to touch a parrot and raccoon under the staff supervise, and I believe those animal will take turn and get switched time by time, cause when we revisit the racoon, he was no longer there, instead a hedgehog was spotted at the same area.
I saw review about planting plant and bring home, but when we was there, there was no such event, we also read you can bring something back at the exit, we are not sure about that too, as we just walk out at the end, but we do notice that you can play the fish catching game at the fresh water zone, we did not participate, as we know it is extreme difficult to really catch any 🤣
Some of the area can be really small, eg: mystical cave. Might be abit turn down if there's too much crowd.
Staff in general was quite friendly and helpful, one side note thou, really hope to see the Bengal cat got a friend, while we was there, he/she was looking sad. (We might be wrong, as cat can be quite territory) so just voicing...
Read morePeople have already pointed out about the high prices. That being said, there are not enough varieties of animals. Most of them are the type you can find in pet shops. If they were going to have interactive experiences, we should be allowed to pat the mara since another zoo allows that. I would still have given at worst three stars since my kids were mostly OK with the experience. What was not OK was the following experience: my kids were told that they were not allowed to bring balloons in and had to keep them at the counter. We were fine with that. However we came back after exiting downstairs (the exit is oddly one level down), the balloons were missing and they had clearly given them to other strangers. This was supposed to be a fun day out for the kids but they ended up being distraught because of their missing balloons. What was worse the staff refused to even apologise or take responsibility. With the expensive ticket prices, you would think the staff would at least try to replace with other balloons (which would have brightened a young child's day and made him want to return)which are not even expensive or at the very least give a sincere apology. Please train your staff better. I dread to think what would happen if more expensive things were left at...
Read moreThis new attraction had a lot of hype and media attention which explains the long q by eager families. The outlook of the place seems inviting and full of hope.
They have only a few exhibits which were not that interactive. Animal exhibits were a let down. Animals from different parts of the world (Africa to America) were in glass exhibits. Poor animals better to stay in their home country. 5 minutes walk thru.
Ducklings, Chicks, Rabbits and Guinea Pigs were kept in interactive but highly stressful pens but that's about it. 10 minutes.
Next and last were fish exhibits. Non interactive fish exhibits were okay. Not many kind of fish and occupy only a small section of the tiny Farm. 5 minutes walk thru.
There is a section for koi feeding, freshwater stingray petting and catch and release longkang fish. Longkang fishing is next to impossible. 10 minutes.
You can complete the whole farm experience in under 1 hour. I think the ticket is overpriced for this kind of lackluster experience. You would be expecting more to justify the ticket price.
Other reviewers mentioned about place not being stroller friendly and it is very true. Save the money and spend...
