Hi it’s me again and today we’re having out dinner at The Spice Alley and here’s my review on it’s food and drinks.
Things we ordered and rating Nasi lemak gergasi - 4.4 Portion - Excellent Good - Presentation is nice, sambal is lovely with that sweet and spicy like the old days of sambal, the meat in the rendang is so tender. Love it Bad - Chicken is a bit dry, the rice kinda lack the taste of coconut and fragrance, and the rendang is good but taste like something that was made for catering event.
Nasi goreng Wagyu - 4 Portion - Excellent Good - You have to eat the rice with the Wagyu and chili Bad - Rice is just a simple fried rice so you pay most of it on the Wagyu. Can be a bit mehh if you just eat the rice and the Wagyu so you need to have it with the chillies
Cucur udang - 4.8 Portion - Excellent Good - Crunchy, can eat it plain but try it with the “asam” sauce and it’s fabulous. Chef Wan uses peanut gravy, here they use “asam” sauce. Thai sauce maybe?? Taste like air asam as Malaysian people say Bad - Bit oily
Salted egg yolk bun - 5 Portion - Good Good - Fluffy and well balanced on the flavor of the salted egg yolk and the bun which is sweet Bad - Have to eat it while it’s hot Note : Be careful when you take a bite. It’s either gonna burn your tongue or splash on your shirt 😅😅.
Mocchacino smoothie - 5 Portion - Excellent Good - Yummy with a bit of hint of coffee bitterness. Bad - Because it’s a smoothie so you don’t get ice to dilute it and it’s a bit sweet. Order a glass of water if you need too.
Watermelon Lychee smoothie - 4 Portion - Excellent Good - Well blended between lychee and watermelon with the hint of sourness. Bombed in your mouth Bad - Probably bit more lychees
Ambience - 4.8 Cozy and quiet, or maybe because there’s no one when we came but it’s calm and you can enjoy your food better. Note that we came on Friday evening so maybe there’s a lot less people on...

FOOD COMMENTS: My experience here was excellent!
Food was delivered very quickly, and the food itself tasted incredible. There was nothing I could complain about the rice dish at all, nothing that was too salty or sweet or spicy, everything was just right 👌🏻
The seafood platter was -almost- perfect! The prawns, calamari, and fish were all good! The prawns are completely edible with the head and tail too, which makes eating them easy and effortless. Unfortunately the one issue I had was one single prawn in particular that tasted very bitter in the head. It had red liquid inside that didn't taste that nice, so just a heads up to anyone who orders! Otherwise the food is top notch!
SERVICE: Service was good! No wrong orders, no rude employees, and items like cutlery were brought automatically without me having to tell them. Food was brought over with no issues either.
Staff was reasonably friendly too! Not the same level as Gordon Ramsay's Street Pizza but still pretty good!
OTHER COMMENTS: The restaurant itself is attractive, comfortable, and clean! Pretty much perfect honestly. Since it's facing the outside of the mall, you get ample natural light, which really complements the almost art deco-ish design on the place!
SUMMARIZED FEEDBACK: Will definitely come again, I highly recommend the place! Great food, great ambience, great service! Just watch out for the prawn heads sometimes and make the employees a little livelier and you've got the perfect...
