Café Ier in Hulhumalé is truly one of the most relaxing and vibrant spots in the Maldives! Nestled along Beach Road and overlooking the turquoise Indian Ocean, its location offers a picture‑perfect seaside setting with frequent seaplane flybys adding to the ambiance. From the moment you arrive, the bright, modern décor and casual yet stylish vibe welcome you in—whether you choose the shaded outdoor deck or the air‑conditioned indoor seating, both offer great comfort and ocean views. As for the food and drinks: the Lavazza coffee is consistently praised as fragrant and well‑brewed, and the gelato (from Fabbri) and smoothies are a perfect treat in the island heat. The menu offers a wide range—pasta, gourmet sandwiches, burgers, and more—which visitors have found both tasty and reasonably priced. Add to that a chilled, laid‑back atmosphere ideal for families, couples, or solo travelers looking for a peaceful stop, and it’s easy to see why Café Ier stands out. While some reviews mention service can be a bit slow at times, the scenic location and quality of food and drink make up for it. Whether you’re in the mood for a refreshing smoothie, expertly brewed coffee by the sea, or a full lunch with ocean views—Café Ier Hulhumalé delivers. A wonderful place to unwind and soak in the...

We were having time in this cafe today 11/02/22 not the first time. At first me , my husband and my mother had sandwich snack and some drinks. Before we finished food, waiter came with the bill - we haven’t asked for a bill yet and we told that two more people are coming to join us. After 20 minutes that we were waiting and finishing our drink basically had our time . Manager than came and very unprofessionally told us to leave because he need to Free the table! After that my husband I told that stuff that we aren’t finished and going to order more once our friends are coming and we not sitting here for free , it is not a first time we are coming here and in Male , but this the first time on this Friday they acted so rudely and without any manner. Very bad, I thought it was a decent place. The employees does not have a proper training, in the end we were waiting for a bill for 30 minutes. Finally I went and at last maldivian boy waiter brought us the bill, than card machine wasn’t working and we waited more. Food and drinks was good, but service not at all. The worst that they don’t have any respect and it seems like they do a big favor to us that we are in their...

We visited the café with our colleagues to work on a university assignment with our lecturer. About 45 minutes into our visit, a waiter came over and cleared our table and brought the POS machine — which led us to believe they preferred early payment, so we settled the bill.

However, just five minutes later, another staff member approached us and quite rudely asked us to vacate the table, stating they had another group of eight arriving. We explained that we were planning to order another round of drinks — all of us had already made purchases. Despite this, the staff member repeated that it was a busy Friday and keeping the table would affect their sales.

We were paying customers and felt completely disrespected being asked to leave in such a manner. This is not how any guest should be treated. We left feeling extremely disappointed and will not be returning — nor would we recommend this...

I actually feel the only thing this restaurant has to offer is the ambience and vibe.. in terms of food it was over priced and not tasty. D pizza was dry and the drink tasted like water, I actually had to request the drink be remade and it was still not worth it and the excuse they gave me is still incomprehensible to me till today, also the waiters were hard to find and slow.. so if you are looking for a cool beach front and nice place to relax and chill.. sure this place will offer you that but if you are goin for food as well you would be disappointed

From outside the place looks wonderful- almost like a restaurant on a Resort Island. Its located by the beach and has a thatched roof, surrounded by a wooden deck and plenty of open area with different kinds of seating. We sat outside on the deck at first then went inside as it was windy. Inside was spacious and air-conditioned. Good for family dinners (also with babies) or for couples. Service was friendly. Food was just okay. Prices are on the high-end. Would recommend for special occasions
