We decided to try Acacia restaurant located on the top floor of this hotel. When we arrived, only one family was there, and they left soon after. We ordered several dishes since we were hungry. While waiting and chatting with our daughter, I noticed something running out of the corner of my eye. At first, I thought I was mistaken, but then I saw it clearly, a huge rat!🐀 I screamed, and the rat hid under the buffet table covered with a black cloth.

I called our waitress, and her reaction made it obvious this wasn’t the first time. Without even checking, she just continued setting up the table and bringing our food. When I told her I couldn’t stay because I’m terrified of rats, she casually said, “Maybe it’ll not come now.” Absolutely unacceptable.

We ran downstairs. They agreed to bring the food down but were visibly annoyed. At reception, when I explained what happened, the staff’s response was basically, “Oh, that’s new for it to be in the restaurant area…” like it’s normal for rats to be elsewhere in the hotel?!

We couldn’t even eat. They still brought the bill (MVR 1159) and asked if we wanted to take away the untouched food. We declined.

Never going back. Save your money and avoid this place at...

Acacia restaurant is the worst place I've ever been to. For y'all to have an unspoiled maldives vacation, please read: Me and my wife visited acacia restaurant (5th floor) of this acacia hotel in hulhumale. My wife , being a vegetarian , ordered veg fried rice and I ordered tandoori chicken.

The male waiter was so reluctant and arrogant from the beginning itself. After almost an hour, we got our food. But instead of vegetarian food, he gave us egg fried rice. Without knowing this, my wife started having it and immediately noticed eggs. Of it were somewhere else.. like in the USA, I think the waiter would've been sued for this .

Saddest part is: when I bought this into his notice, he unapologetically stated that I was lying. What a terrible way to deal with a customer! He repeated that I was lying. I didnt want to create a mess. My wife was starving the whole time while that arrogant ,unprofessional, dishonest guy stood at the counter with an irritating confident face. I just had food, paid for that horrible service( in maldives, approx.10% service charge is added to bill) amd just got out and complained at the reception.

Scared. I was really scared after reading Google reviews of many other hotels on Male and Hullumale islands. Many of the hotel reviewed, carried complaints such as dirty linen, staff stealing from guests, rooms in a state of disrepair and room not quite or private.

With a sigh of relief I can tell you after six days at Acacia Beach Hotel I had the BEST stay that I have had. Booked via Agoda where I got a great deal of breakfast and dinner included. My room on the third floor has a beach view, non smoking and super quite. The only minus, the linen was clean but well worn. The room has a safe, TV with various overseas news channels.

I received the best service from Azhar who is a Maldivian local, always service with a smile and gave me the best tips for my holiday. She booked me a snorkelling day out and suggested a local Maldivian restaurant. Sudip served me dinners, he was so kind, quick and easy to talk to. The young tall porter was super nice and helpful when showing me the in and outs of my room.

In all I had a great time and have told friends already about it. I would come back again...

Great value for money. Located right in front of the public natural swimming pool. Breakfast was ok- again, value for money. Was served mas huni and roshi on request - kudos to the Chef! And also got the eggs done to our liking instead of the boiled ones in the buffet line. Well done Acacia 😀👍 Great to stay ffor a short trip or business trip to Maldives. Take a trip to Crossroads for some alcohol. Or head to Hulhule Island Hotel near the airport for happy hours. Surrounded by restaurants and cafes. From cheap to mid-range to higher-end. Eat at ‘The Maldive Kitchen’ for and yummy Maldivian food. Not cheap, but definitely worth trying; generally not easy to find authentic Maldivian food otherwise. Bombay Darbar has good food too! And Island Kitchen is good for the typical Maldivain fusion menu. Overall a satisfactory 3N stay at Acacia! Thank you, keep it up’

I paid for a spa treatment and then when I check the treatment area, it is not a proper spa. It is a small area with many rooms, sperated by curtains. When you are in there, you can hear people talking and walking everywhere. And the therapist was not a professional therapist, just some girl from Bali. Therefore, I decided not have spa treatment. When ask for the refund they did not refund saying that it is hotel policy which receptionist, Nagma did not explain. They kept the money and did not want to refund. Nagma called her Manager and both decided not to refund. Both of them are also very unprofessional. They don't care about the reputation of the hotel and don't know customer service. If you want a proffetional spa, please go to Footrest.
