The Coffee Club Male' — Restaurant in Malé

I have been a regular customer at Coffee club for the past 9 years in Sydney, so I was very excited to find out that people in the Maldives now have the opportunity to enjoy the fine coffee and products of this legendary franchise.

The first store of Coffee club opened on 2 November 1989 in Brisbane and since then they have grown substantially all over the world. I wish to see their other major chain 'Ribs and Rumps' come to shore. Australian franchises such as 'Burger king' and Gloria Geans' have already taken its place in the Maldives so there is a good chance for other big franchises to make its way to us.

My experience at The Coffee Club Maldives: Staff was friendly and welcoming. The environment was pleasant and calming. I ordered my usual coffee (Small strong flatwhite with an extra shot). The smell, taste and strength of coffee was consistent with what I usually have and the Cafe' lived up to its standard.

Parking: parking could be tricky as the Cafe is around a high traffic area. Especially for Cars and bigger vehicles.

Music: at the time I was their they weren't playing any music but I'd imagine that they will play soft modern tones.

After seeing the poster outside the restaurant we entered to have a good lunch on a hot day😮‍💨😥, to try some of the pasta dishes that were promoted with a very affordable price MVR88 to MVR68 we took two past a and two drinks and a bottle.

After paying a bill of MVR402/- ($26) we left the Restaurent and on the way down the stairs we thought that something was off about the bill, we came back to the restaurant and asked for the bill and checked carefully.

We found out that they have charged us much more than the promotion prices😠. When we found this out they gave us back MVR100 ($6.5) 😳 one third of the bill was charged extra😠.

This is very disappointing and annoying. The most annoying thin was that they didn’t noticed it until we can back and told them. If it were not for us to check and name back they wouldn’t care about it.

When we mentioned this to the manager/ supervisor they said it was changed a different price by the system as of the system is a divine machine 😡, as if they had nothing to do about it. This is very unprofessional and unacceptable. We do wish we had gone to the next best option (seahouse cafe) I am never going to this place to eat with my money hereafter and do not even recommend this place. A complete...

The place is amazing, the view, the products and the service are great. It's a nice place to go for dinner. I went to this place looking for coffee and a place where I could connect to wifi. In their door they have a sign that offers "Free wifi - powered by ..." and when I tryed to connect, it didnt work, then first they said: "it's only for local numbers using that operator" and that was my first surprise, by chance I had this simcard and i used it but still didn't work. I asked for a refund because i needed a place where i could stay and connect and at first they said no, they dont do refunds, but then the manager came out and fixed it. Anyway.. it is just that detail that made my experience bitter, but for sure something they can work on and fix, for now, I will stay in the cafe in front which was also very good...
