Writing with a heavy heart. I went to Pickles 3 or so months ago and instantaneously loved the food; so I went there 3 more times in 3 months. The last time, though, when I ordered a steak dish, the waitress insisted that I take the well-done one. She talked senselessly (she said medium rare would be too hard, but well done would not be??), but as sceptical as I was, I agreed with her in the end because of my previous satisfactory experiences there. The steak arrived maybe in under 10 mins, and it was cold. The meat was extremely tough, but since I agreed to it, I never raised an issue. Later, after sharing this incident with someone, I realised that I might have been served someone else's reject order (by the way she insisted, how fast it was ready and the way she observed me while I ate) which prompted me to write a review. I also ordered a french onion soup, which again to my surprise, turned out to be horrible (dark brown diluted water, with very less onions and no cheese crust). It did not at all look like the displayed picture on the menu. I am writing so people can avoid the mistake I made.

Usually have dinner meetings here. Despite coming here on many occasions, the waiters fail to give a warm ambience. Every time it’s like ordering here for the first time. There is one waiter whose face looks always if he is forced to work here. Very arrogant attitude. No welcome or thank you. No pleasant greetings. You will know this waiter when you meet him. It will be like as meeting a king that has been dethroned and forced to work as a waiter. Compared to this guy, other guy would give an occasional smile. The only reason I’m giving two stars is because of the food and milkshake quality. Highly recommend to try Chicken Cordon Bleu, Chicken Shawarma platter, chicken and chips and their chocolate based milkshakes

Pickle Thai has quickly become one of our favorite places to eat. The chicken leg soup is absolutely delicious and our top pick every time. The papaya salad is also amazing – fresh, flavorful, and just the right balance. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes, which makes it even better. They also provide delivery service to the jetty, which is very convenient. The staff are friendly, and the service is great overall. The only downside is that the restaurant does not have its own washroom. The only available option is the public washroom nearby, which is unfortunately not well maintained. Aside from that, Pickle Thai is definitely worth visiting for tasty Thai food at a good price.
