Secret Recipe — Restaurant in Malé

I always dine in secret recipe, even in Male or the airport, but now. This is my last.

It started with a very good service by one of the guy staff there, I requested for seafood laksa with extra spicy, after he served my food, he even asked me very politely do I want to have more chili cut on the side, I said no thank you so much. And I asked to one of another guy staff there where is toilet, and after sometimes not even 3minutes I was in toilet, there was someone really really annoying, tried to open the toilet door, and obviously if it's locked, don't try to open it!! I said wait wait be patient. But after I walked out from the toilet, I saw 3 staffs near the toilet, they were talking to each other and laughing, and I asked one of them, do you know who's trying to open the toilet door? He said "don't know" not even apologize 😑 and one of the woman's staff enter into the toilet!! and my mood dropped suddenly, I asked him my bill. I CAME WITH SMILE BUT I LEFT WITH ANGER. so please to secret recipe management, you need to train your staffs how to build their well behave, I won't come back again, and I won't recommend this restaurant...

I have been here several times. Tried thai tom yum noodle soup. Chocolate lava cake many times. I will go again many more times just to eat lava cake. But the food is not safe. Me and my girlfriend had a bad food poisoning after the last dinner here. We had fish and chips and thai seafood spaghetti. After coming room we couldn’t stop vomiting and our stomach ache bad time. And on the ground floor the air condition wasn’t working but we didnt had any other choice. 1st floor indoor and outdoor was already full. So had to sit in the ground floor and it was very hot in there tho the seating was very comfortable. I could have given 1* but +1 is for the lava cake, drinks and ambiance. If you are going to dine here, be careful...

I went quite few times, basically every time when I came to Male’, but this time is the worst time and it will be the last time. I went there alone this time, I went inside the restaurant, no one said hi when they were just right next to me ( as usual), I went upstairs, waited quite few minutes, no one came upstairs to provide the menu, so I had to go downstairs to ask if I can have the menu. After a bit, the waitress came upstairs to give me the menu and have the order, I ordered the noodles without any drinks as I just had drinks with friends somewhere else, she asked me that’s it?
