My favorite place in Male — simply the best cuisine, atmosphere, service — from the beginning to the end these guys make me comfortable, relaxed and satisfied. Every time I arrive to Male very early in the morning and I know that Seagull will be open for me, there will be enough space to sit and enjoy my meals as everything is so fresh and served very nicely. Such a wonderful property, so green, decorated with some authentic pictures — very stylish and cozy at the same time. 2 floors are there and everywhere the servers will treat you very well so you can sit upstairs if you want to smoke during meals or else to stay downstairs and really enjoy it. I like to try something new so every time I choose different options — always delicious no matter what I order. And the must have for everybody who likes this kind of desserts is crème brûlée with lemongrass. Exceptional dessert that makes my day.

Extreme rude service. Stood at counter for a very long time. No one came out from the back even when eye contact was made. Went to cashier desk. Very rude and unprofessional foreign workers. I said I would like to sample the ice cream before deciding. Boy cashier rolled his eyes and huffed. Then he tapped on the glass and another Bangladeshi came out. He did not speak English, so I pointed to the flavour to sample. I decided on three scoops. The cashier wanted to know the flavours I requested. I told him and he got it incorrect. The Bangladeshi server almost put the wrong flavour in tub as the cashier had not listened to the order. Anyways, nothing wrong with the ice cream. It's very nice indeed. The cashiers are horrible. They have zero customer service skills, and a bad attitude. I looked at the menu and prices are heavily exorbitant for Male. One plate of pasta costs the same as 2 to 4 buffets (eat as much as you can), in a local cafe. Prices are for tourists, and wealthy Maldivians. Ice cream portions are beyond small. Less than half of the size of Baskin Robbins for the three scoops I had. Unbelievably costly. The redeeming feature, is that it tasted very nice. All of the three flavours I purchased.

Had dinner at Seagull Cafe. The establishment has 2 levels, where the second floor is the smoking corner. The waiters were responsive and attended to me pretty quickly. I ordered a cauliflower floret salad (MVR165) to share and a Fish with Brown Rice (MVR160). The cauliflower were soft and nicely grilled, and it went really well with the pomegranate seeds and almonds. My main was of a hearty portion. It was fried brown rice with mixed vegetables, topped with white fish fillets. The fried rice was not too oily and very flavorful, and the fish was really fresh. Would recommend the food here.

Excellent cafe, I come back here every time I am in the Maldives. I especially love the traditional Maldivian breakfast here and the crème brûlée. Also wanted to make a side note about the service here - I forgot my metal straw here (pic attached) and one of the waiters, Mamun, kept it there for me and gave it back to me when I returned a week later. He’s a very professional guy altogether, we liked him a lot. Will definitely come back here when we have a chance!

A wonderful cafe in a very busy area of Male. You can hear the scooters downstairs. The design of the enterier is very interesting, combining traditional and modern elements. The staff is super nice and the food was excellent. The burger had a combination of different flavors that worked so well, and the fries were crispy and fresh. I would go back and back again whenever I am in Male, and I recommend it to all of my friends who want to go to the Maldives!

What a find. We almost didn’t go in because it looked like an ice cream shop. It’s a two story restaurant with the smoking section upstairs. We have been here twice already and it was better the second time. The staff were excellent and the food amazing. One of the best roasted/grilled chicken we have ever ate. We liked it so much we ordered a whole one to go. The roasted cauliflower was heavenly. We will be back before leaving Maldives. Thank you.
