Read moreHi I wrote an email to you to tell you of my experience privately, but you didn't reply so I have to write here.
My fiance and I went to D Kalkara Regatta for his birthday as it was recommended to us for a good steak
We placed our order, one plate out of two came to the table. The staff appologized and made the second place quickly..we understand that stuff happens so we didn't make a fuss about this.
we were offered a complimentary drink to rectify. I asked for the drinks menu and the guy just said "Cocktail bxi haga li trid?" I said IDK what is on your menu and since I didn't want anything alcoholic and he didn't give me the menu to see I said its ok we will not have a drink.
The waiter was behaved a bit strange as in he only spoke to me (the Maltese) he didnt acknowledge the presence of my partner, didn't even take his food order and even when we were saying it's ok dont worry about that, he only looked at me.
Anyway, till this point I kept telling my partner maybe he's just shy, maybe their english is not great. Trying to look at the bright side. The food was decent, the drink came fast, the older lady there was friendly.
Until I turned around to get my bag to leave...There was a cockroach on the coach seat right next to my bag.
I got up terrified but didn't scream conscious that this your business and I dont want to make a scene in front of you other customers. The staff asked me what is wrong and one guy came and killed it right there. By now im so shocked and overwhelmed by the experience that I'm in tears. My partner went to the cash and paid our bill "FULL PRICE" and I ran out silently crying not wanting to be there one more second.
I am utterly disgusted by the service and lack of care we faced last...
Read moreDisappointed is the word. Having waited so long to return to this restaurant following the reopening, we were very let down by the poor service, excessive waiting and cold food. Having been shown to our table, we were not spoken to or given the menu in over 20 minutes. Another long wait followed for someone to take my order. After being tempted to choose from the Special Menu, me and my son ordered the Bistecca Fiorentina to share only to be told that there wasn't enough and it had to be supplemented by a helping of Tagliata. The problem is that he was going to charge us for the Tagliata on top of the bistecca!! We resorted to Tagliata. After taking our order, I had to ask the person whether he was going to take our order for drinks as he had overlooked this.
Then the cherry on the cake was the very long wait to get our food. We noted 3 tables who sat after us and got their food ahead of us. When we finally got our food, it was cold whilst my son's burger was sizzling hot. Apparently, the forgot his order and our plates were left waiting, eventually turning cold.
They also gave complimentary bread to each table but we had to ask for ours as again, they forgot it.
I did not expect this as our previous visits were always enjoyable. This time however, what could go wrong did go wrong and we were left unavoidably...
