Views and Atmosphere, but Language Barriers Affected Service Quality: I recently had the pleasure of dining at Il-Fortizza restaurant. It boasted some exceptional features: outdoor dining with great views, an atmosphere free from street traffic, and an overall pleasant ambiance. The establishment was strategically situated in a location that allowed us outdoor dining and to enjoy vistas of the sea. However, one aspect that could be improved upon was the language proficiency of non-Maltese service workers. It was evident that they struggled with English, which occasionally led to miscommunication and delays in service. Despite this minor setback, the restaurant made up for it with its delectable cuisine. The menu featured a wide variety of dishes, ranging from local specialties to international flavors. In conclusion, the restaurant's great views and delightful cuisine make it a worthwhile dining destination. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit.

I’m always wary of places that have such an extensive menu, especially one with pictures on but I’d been dying to try Beef Olives (Bragjoli) and they had them on the menu so it was settled. The service is typical of Malta as I’ve found so far, staff very friendly however service fairly slow. The wait time for the food was perfectly reasonable though. I had the Beef Olives and my friend had the Chicken Skewer and a Greek Salad. My Beef Olives were superb, perfectly cooked and full of flavour. Very tasty sauce with it as well. My friend’s chicken skewer was excellent as well. Well seasoned and juicy. Greek salad full of fresh ingredients and colour. The location is great, nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Service could be slightly better but we’ve found this to be the case pretty much everywhere. Best meal we’ve had in Malta by far though.

First of all, we did not get a chance to choose our table - staff said " this table is too big for you" even though the table was for 5 persons and we were a company of 3. A table beside the one we wanted was for 5 persons and was occupied by 3 people. We were suggested to sit by a table with a "sea view" ( You can see int he photo the beautiful view we were given). The table was the exact same size we were refused to sit at. We were sitting at a table that was always wobling and peeling off. The chairs were metal and rusty and really uncomfortable, no one suggested to put a pillow so we could recline and not get rust on our clothes. The staff is really unprofessional, slow service. We were waiting for our cocktails for 30 minutes, and at the end not all of the cocktails were brought. If you are wondering if the restaurant may be full and busy, that is not the reason for the delay. Since the restaurant had around 3/4 of tables empty. Some of the stuff we ordered has been brought to us not on a tray but instead by hand which is not really a way to act for the staff of a restaurant...

We have ordered thru wolt from this restaurant because it had good reviews but it was the biggest disappointment that I had regarding the food in Sliema . We ordered 2 burgers(one chicken, 2 beefs), a chicken wrap and a grilled sea bass. The photos of these products in the app were outstanding. We received the food without lots of the ingredients listed there. The wrap came without any vegetables or cheese, only some dry chicken in a wrap on top of some stale chips. The chicken burger was only a snitzel between a bun, no dressing, no cheese, nothing The beef burger was over cooked and also missing ingredients. For the sea bass we specifically requested that the fish and vegetables to be without salt and dairy products so I can feed my 10 month old son. After a delay of over 30 minutes we contacted them thru the app and told us that the fish has already salt on it an we asked not to put salt on the veggies instead. Bought are extra salty so this night my son won't be able to eat.

Exceptional services!! We came as group of 6 hoping to have dinner outside with the view. Our waiter was so funny and had all laughing as soon as we sat down. We managed to all order drinks and our meals but unfortunately it was just too windy and we were too cold to sit outside anymore. The waiter was super nice and understood and was able to get a table inside and help love all our drinks and have our meals served inside. Unfortunately once we moved inside we didn’t seem to have a waiter anymore and had to ask random waiters walking by for extra service, like drinks or ordering more food. The meals themselves were one of the best we had while in Malta and everyone really enjoyed them. While worth the price. Great location, great staff and great tasting food. Would recommend.

Ordered a delicious and fresh Greek salad for lunch, with crunchy cucumber, chunks of feta, pitted black olives, chopped cherry tomatoes and some lettuce with a delicate olive oil dressing. Perfect and a very generous portion too. We also shared the Capricciosa pizza with artichoke, ham, sliced black olives, and slices of hard boiled egg. I wasn’t too sure about the egg on pizza, but overall it was cheesy, tasty and warm. Draught beers and chocolate milkshake were all a hit, and we finished off with a large slice of carrot cake for pudding. Ask for their pudding/dessert menu for a surprise! Staff were lovely and efficient, and our food arrived quickly. The restaurant is a very quiet and relaxing place, with beautiful sea views, and ample seating.
