I went last night with my girlfriend, hoping to have a special dinner, but the experience was disappointing from the very beginning. We asked for a table for two, and we were told where to sit. Just then, we saw that another table with an ocean view was being vacated, and my girlfriend wanted to sit there. I asked the host if we could wait for that table to be cleaned.
He responded in a rude manner, making that typical Italian hand gesture (closed fingers pointing upward) and said, "Why would you choose a dirty table when I'm offering you a clean one?" I felt uncomfortable, as if we were making an unreasonable request. I told him we had no problem waiting. He then went to ask the waiter, and they started talking in another language, clearly debating the situation.
He came back and told us we couldn’t sit at that table because “the people were still eating,” which wasn’t true—we had seen them leave, and the table was already cleared of food. We sat where he originally told us, but given his attitude, I asked if there was any problem, because as far as I knew, we were going to pay for our meal and wanted to feel welcome. His response: “If there’s a problem, you can leave.”
I asked to speak to the manager. He laughed, turned away, then came back with a sarcastic tone and said, “Good evening, I heard you wanted to speak to the manager. Tell me,” implying he was the manager himself. At that point, I remained silent because I didn’t want to ruin the evening.
A minute later, he came back and said, “Your table is ready. Go sit over there,” in a dismissive and unpleasant tone. We moved to the new table, trying to still have a good time. The waiter then approached and asked, “Are you ready to order?” I replied that we needed two more minutes to look at the menu. He said, “Well, I’ll come back in eight minutes because we have lives too and can’t wait for you all night.”
I replied that according to Google, the restaurant closes at midnight, and it was only 9:45 PM. He answered, “Yeah, but Google doesn’t control anyone’s life.”
At that point, it was clear they didn’t want us there. We got up and left. We’ve never felt so mistreated at a restaurant. It was a total lack of respect, hospitality, and professionalism. Extremely...
Read moreOk, so the outside looks very nice and made it APPEAR as if this was a nice restaurant. Upon entry the air was musty, we let that slide proceeded to the bar and was told to sit where we like. I ordered calamari, beef cappuccino, chicken spring rolls my friend ordered calamari, a rib eye steak and a water we waited maybe 10 minutes and everything came out except for the steak. On first instance the beef cappuccino looked like raw salami, the outside wasn’t seared, I tried some and IMMEDIATELY spat it back out and moved the dish to the side. My calamari was nice and crispy but my friends one was soggy. We complained to the waitress and she offered to change it which she did. Then I tasted the spring rolls. Absolutely horrendous tasted Indian and not Chinese, waitress said it’s not suppsed to taste Chinese. Yet spring rolls elude that. At this point I’m over it, The steak hasn’t arrived and I do not have high hopes and ask for it to just be cancelled let me pay for what I have eaten and call it a day. I call this lady over and told her this is like an episode of Hell’s Kitchen, the food is disgusting she told me I CANT Say that I asked her why not if it’s my personal opinion. Long story short avoid is at ALL cost, especially if u are young vibrant and...
Read moreWe chose this restaurant for our last night of our honeymoon. We asked to sit outside overlooking the sea, we were put at a table away from the seaview and so my husband pointed to a better seating area. The waiter refused and said those tables were for more people. However the other tables that were in that area only had 2 people eating at them. But we sat where we were seated anyway. I then used the loo and came back to look through menus. A waiter came and ask our drink order but we had only started looking, he appeared annoyed we didn’t order straight away. We were then left and passed by many times without taking our order. It then got windy so my husband asked could we moved to a sheltered area inside instead, one of the waiters was then so rude and said we would have to wait for another table, but there were very little other people in the restaurant. I then decided to leave as the atmosphere and how they spoke to my husband was awful. Then another waiter came and I said we are leaving as we had been waiting too long to even order a drink and he rudely snapped and said I already tried to take your order and you wouldn’t give me your order. Really no need for that kind of service. Will not...
