Great location, lovely cocktails but have some way to go on the food. If this was just a restaurant without the views, cocktails and funky decor I would have given it 2-3 stars as the food unfortunately let this place down. I think its something that could be remedied and this review is to offer some constructive criticism as I would love to come back and have a better culinary experience. The best part of the food was the complimentary bread and dips - the olive dip was to die for. My starter was a lobster ravioli special which was under seasoned and the pasta a bit on the thick side; main Guinea fowl salad which was boring and bland- too much quinoa and spring onions and the Guinea fowl was greasy. It needed some of those delicious red tomatoes and some salad leaves just to make it a bit more as a salad should be. My partner had halloumi starter which was lacking on the halloumi portion, and chicken main which again was boring, bland and greasy- it needs a sauce. The sides of 'roasted' potato wedges and med veg were small and again greasy - lay off the oil guys! We decided to have cocktails as our pudding - the Bramble and Maitai were delicious! This place is pricey - just over €100 for 2 courses and 1 cocktail for 2 people. For me it wasn't worth it but if the food improves then I would be happy to pay...
Read moreI first visited the restaurant shortly after it opened ( pre covid ) I took my mother there ( she was visiting Malta and staying at The Preluna Hotel) The room was style over comfort the service tardy and shambolic, it took 20 minutes for the overpriced pretentious cocktails to arrive and by then our first course was already served. The food had aspirations of mediocrity which it failed to achieve. Fast forward to last night's return . WOW what a different place the stylish yet uncomfortable chairs in the bar area have all gone replaced with sleek dining tables and chairs , decked out with fine crystal ware and stylish and functional cutlery. We were greeted by the staff as if we were old friends and shown a table where we able to enjoy the stunning views across the island. Drinks presented within moments of being requested and the staff in attendance and on point thought out the meal . The food was definitely next level and presented with aplomb and pride . The new chef certainly knows his kitchen and his team rise to the challenge. I can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant and I am in fact taking my mother there again tonight. The staff are professionals and nothing is too much trouble . The Restaurant manager has his eyes everywhere and coordinates his team with swift...

We spent two evenings at Skyroom during our holiday in Malta, and both visits were nothing short of exceptional. The service is extremely friendly yet highly professional, making you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. When presenting the menu, the staff also introduce the daily specials and freshly caught fish, which can be prepared in various ways — a wonderful touch that really elevates the experience.
The starters are beautifully presented and served in perfectly sized portions. Prices are slightly higher compared to other Maltese restaurants, but they are absolutely justified by the quality of the food, the phenomenal view, and the elegant atmosphere. The wine list is also excellent and offers a great selection to complement your meal.
A special highlight was the steak — cooked exactly to the requested doneness and absolutely delicious. Our final evening here tonight truly exceeded all expectations and was the perfect grand finale to our holiday in Malta. Highly recommended — we will...
