From the moment you step inside, the ambiance transports you to the bustling streets of Beijing or the serene tea gardens of Hangzhou. Here's an in-depth review of my dining experience at Golden Wok:Ambiance: The restaurant's interior combines traditional Chinese elements with modern elegance. Soft, ambient music plays in the background, creating a soothing atmosphere ideal for intimate dinners or lively gatherings.Service: Upon entering Golden Wok, guests are greeted with warm smiles and attentive service. Read moreDO NOT EAT HERE !!!! This was the worst meal of my life. We arrived hoping to celebrate the Lunar New Year with some nice dumplings but we were in for a shock. I first asked the waitress do they have any Chinese wine, after a few minutes they came back with a no. I then asked which of the seafood was fresh, again the waitress went off again and came back to tell me it was all fresh !! I was a little dubious but why shouldn't I believe them. I ordered pork fried dumplings to start which were so filled with oil they were translucent, and had such freezer burn they were solid in places. I then found a piece of bone ! But the manager said it's not her fault as they buy them in !!! So if I don't like it then it has nothing to do with them. She offered then to replace them with other dumplings, I said I am extremely worried after this start to a meal but I accepted. The replacement dumplings were equally horrible and tasted of ammonia so I stopped eating them also for fear they are off. I challenged the manager on her seafood being fresh and she said it's all frozen and I was misinformed earlier. Not to mention they tried to sneak the second set of inedible dumplings on the bill. I spent the early hours of Sunday morning being violently ill and I am still trying to recover. Never go to this place ! I will be reporting the matter to the health...
Read moreI wish if I can give minus 5 stars, I am Chinese and I have been travelled to so many counties. this is the worst Chinese restaurants I have ever been to IN MY LIFE. We ordered Chinese tea, Hot and sour soups and some regular Chinese dishes. We waited for over 30mins and nothing was served, not even the tea. After 30mins we waited another 10mins and caught one of the waitress and ask if there are any updates on our orders. She explained everything is under preparations, I told them that I totally understands their situation but please if at least they can provide the tea first. She replied that she will make the tea right now. OK, after another 10 mins, we still have nothing on our table. At this point my wife and I decided to leave and we left the restaurant with empty stomach. When we came out, another person came out with us together, he ordered some take away and he said he waited for more than 30mins for the fried rice. Please read other one star reviews before you come to here. I cannot comment on the food because we never got it. But after we read the reviews we felt lucky that we never...
