Bulubeef — Restaurant in Ta' Xbiex

If you’re wondering whether you should order from Bulubeef Burgers, stop thinking and just do it. I ordered the Cheese & Bacon Burger (normal bun) and I can honestly say it was absolute perfection from start to finish. The potato bun was soft and pillowy, the beef patty was juicy and rich, the bacon was perfectly crispy, and the house sauce tied it all together in the most delicious way possible. Every bite was a masterpiece.

And the fries? I don’t know what kind of magic they’re sprinkling on them, but they are straight up addictive. Crispy, salty, and full of flavor — easily the best fries I’ve ever had.

The best part? Even after polishing off the entire (very satisfying) portion, I didn’t feel disgustingly full or sluggish. I actually felt energized — so much so that I genuinely believe I could have done 30 cartwheels in a row right after eating. Bulubeef somehow manages to nail that perfect balance: incredibly indulgent, yet somehow leaving you feeling fit and ready for anything.

I visited just before closing time (11:42pm, with the restaurant shutting at midnight) and was rather disappointed with the service. I ordered at the counter and asked for a burger and some chicken nuggets. The cashier, who was already busy closing the till and counting coins, seemed more interested in finishing up than serving and quickly told me, “No, sorry, only beef burgers.”

When I asked if they were out of chicken, he said yes, so I settled for just a burger. However, while waiting I placed a Wolt order for nuggets out of curiosity — and to my surprise, the order was accepted immediately. I ate my burger, and within a minute of finishing, I watched him pack my Wolt order with the very same chicken nuggets I was told weren’t available in person. When I pointed it out, he awkwardly said, “Ah yes, app only.”

The food itself was fine, but the dishonesty and lack of effort from the staff left a sour taste. If the kitchen is open and serving, customers at the counter should be treated the same as those...

Nice burger place on the Ta' Xbiex marina that nowadays is bustling with a vibrant atmosphere of places to drink and dine.

Got the Blue Bacon, with suoer soft potato bun, tallow onions, quality beef patty, blue cheese, crispy bacon, sliced onion, honey and house sauce, that was really good at the tastes.

Especially the painting of the slice of blue cheese and the meat and the crispy bacon.

My friend took a truffle burger and she said was really good as well.

We took as a side a portion of cheesy fries that were good but in the end too much as a portion and a bit too cheesy.

The service was really fast and good.
