Time arrived: 4pm - between lunch and dinner time, arrived first, hungry after the day of exploring, nobody sitting there before, but kitchen is open. Ordered drinks, appetisers and main courses, but after we received the drinks we have spent further 45mins just pure waiting. The table that arrived after us already received their octopus salad, same as additional 2 tables after, while we have ordered simple bruschettas as appetisers, after 45 minutes we have finally got the bruschettas to the table, 4 small baguette pieces that had to be additionally seasoned and finished by ourselves with olive oil because there was no drop on them. Okay, because we waited so long we have finished both the bottle of water and our drinks, I’ve ordered additional Aperol spritz. Another 30 minutes I have not received the spritz, by then I was just happy I had something to drink, finally. Hour and a half later, the restaurant has filled up half full, and everyone has received their appetisers and mains, apart from us. Bear in mind, we have arrived 10mins before everyone else, and haven’t ordered something extraordinary, but “boneless seabass” and paccheri with beef. Considering it was beef pasta alla ragu, this had to be already premade earlier, and fish grilled, but made no difference in the wait times obviously. When we have received our plates, we had no appetite anymore which was the most awful part. No apologies, no sorries. Not to mention that after hour and a half you would expect the boneless fish to be actually boneless, but no. Had half of my plate full of bones and spitting them out mid way.. The pasta was also cold at the top as if has been forgotten and was sitting waiting. We’ve been here a few days earlier, and we have waited about 30mins, for more or less the same dishes, no problem, but this, this is a no. Considering whole experience, 2 hours after and the enormous price we paid for that waiting, not recommended...
Read moreI recently had a highly disappointing experience at this restaurant and feel compelled to share my review. To begin with, the starters we ordered were nothing short of disappointing. Not only were they served in minuscule portions, but they also failed to captivate our taste buds. It felt like they put more effort into making them look appetizing than actually delivering on flavor. Combine that with the hefty price tag attached to these uninspiring appetizers, and you have a recipe for disappointment. However, the biggest letdown of the evening was undoubtedly the excruciating wait for our main courses. After enduring an hour of hungry anticipation, my companions and I were still left empty-handed. It's mind-boggling how a restaurant can be so disorganized and inefficient in delivering their primary dishes. With every passing minute, our enthusiasm waned and frustration grew. After waiting for more than an hour for our main course, we decided to leave without dining. Overall, the combination of poor and delayed service, paired with unsatisfying starters and lackluster main courses, left me feeling utterly unsatisfied with my visit to Zitti. I expected so much more from a place that seemed promising, but unfortunately, they fell short on every possible level. If you value your time, hunger satisfaction, and having a truly enjoyable dining experience, I would strongly advise against dining at this restaurant. There are countless other establishments in the area that offer better service, quality, and value for your money. Spare yourself the disappointment and seek better...
Read moreGreat night out yesterday at Zitti restaurant. We were a group of 21, and were seated downstairs in a private setting. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a selection of cocktails, to be followed by fried pizzette and panzerotti which were to die for. These were followed by platters of salumi and cheeses, presented in a very elegant and inviting manner. We then moved onto our main courses, where all 21 main courses were served practically together in a span of under 2 minutes, thus we could all enjoy our main meal together.
The desert selection is varied, made in house and very tempting to order even if we were full. We therefore ordered small babas, and cannoli, which the kitchen presented in such a way as to make it possible to share everything.
Small details in our experience show why Zitti is a step ahead of competition. From the waiters attention to the level of wine in our glasses such as to refill without us asking, to immediately offering to take group photos at the slightest indication that one of us wanted to take a group photo, to also offering to change the wine glass to a larger wine glass when i decided to switch from white to red wine when main course was served.
The price we paid was value for money for the quality of food served, portion size, service offered, and overall restaurant decor. The overall waiting time for food to be served was more than adequate, despite restaurant had other dinners in the restaurant when our group was there.
Highly recommended restaurant, especially for...
