We're just coming to the end of a 2 week stay in Malta and have eaten out at least once (if not twice) daily, and this is my favourite meal so far. The location is a huge selling point. Theres something incredibly charming about dining alfresco on the lit up steps, so many people walking by stopped just to take photos. It's super casual and effortlessly cool. I'm not sure if it's this restaurant alone or if the others on the same street also chip in, but someone had hired an incredibly talented jazz duet to perform at the bottom of the steps. A guy playing keys and a girl with a heartbreakingly gorgeous voice. Fantastic ambience. On to the food. Delightfully fresh buffalo mozzarella salad with sweet grapes and a zesty dressing. It really popped. Then the pizza. Oh my days. I chose buffalo mozzerala with parma ham. Best. Pizza. Of. My. Life. I never usually eat crusts but the base was divine. Very generous on the parma ham, every bite was glorious. 10/10. I came back for my last meal in Valletta wanting to order the the exact same thing but alas they don't serve pizza at lunchtime! I'm still devastated (although the rabbit spaghetti I had instead was also delicious). I'm currently staying in Gozo but am seriously considering driving the hour and a half back just for another one of those buffalo mozzarella parma ham pizzas...

Having just arrived from the UK this place was about 10m from our hotel (66 St Paul’s) and even at 5pm was busy and vibrant. Kitchen closed between 5 and 6 so we had a few drinks whilst we waited. The local Cisk beer (lager) was good but the Blue beer was much better. Sadly there wasn’t a great selection of wine and what we tried wasn’t very good at all but there is an extensive selection of Whiskey on the menu 😄so I’ll be going back to work my way through that one evening. The staff are extremely friendly playing with the kids in the families dining with them. Most tables are for two as they’re perched on steps down the hill but we did see them cater for a group of 10 too. Virtually every table was reserved on a Wednesday night so we could only have our table until 7pm but that was fine. We ordered pizza at 6pm and it was with us within 10mins and was fantastic! By this time the tables had all filled up and there was a real party atmosphere! We would highly recommend the restaurant for their food, atmosphere and value for money.

Quite disappointed. Who writes these misleading reviews?! Saw the reviews that were better than anything else in Valetta and decided to go. We went at a peak hour (meant they only allowed us to order pizza and when they were able to serve everything 15minites later, they never let us know, to order a salad) and they seated us next to the kitchen where we would see how dirty they were and how they were handling our food. They waitor was rude and told me how to sit in a chair from the lowest part to fit, thank you for the rude attitude, and the pizza was ok. I Would have given it 3 stars, this is what it deserves from people who know our pizzas, but they lack of sanitary environment in the kitchen made me lower it to 2 stars and think of even going ot 1. If you haven't tried good pizza in your life, go there, you will love it. If you have tried great pizza in your life, this is not for you.

Perhaps it was my error for ordering a vegetable pizza as I am a vegetarian, but the pizza was wet and raw. The outer corners were done, but inner 2/3 was soggy and raw. Pools of liquid on my pizza and it was soggy. I couldn't even lift up the slice. I called the waiter over who informed me that this was because the mushrooms on top of the pizza release water when cooked. My question is, why not cook down the mushrooms first then before adding? As a server, why not inform the client before I place my order? Is this something happening with the chefs side? The pizza was fine, the parts that were edible mainly the crust, mojito was also fine but not memorable. This did not deliver as the "best pizza in valetta" for me personally. I will say that I am happy with the service as I was seating quite quickly during peak time and servers were good.

I’d seen the restaurant on TikTok and decided to visit for my birthday. From the start of my visit all the staff were welcoming and friendly. They were also super attentive (no struggling to get a waiter’s attention) and super speedy (my Aperol spritzes just materialised almost instantly). The food was as expected delicious. I had a bruschetta to start which had nice fresh crisp tomatoes and good flavour and the lasagne for main - which was both saucy and cheesy in equally good measure. They even threw in a complimentary limencello because it was my birthday which was so sweet and thoughtful. Waddling up the hill stuffed at the end of the meal was a struggle - but one absolutely worth the fantastic meal, great drinks and immaculate vibes. I’ve already recommended the restaurant to friends visiting later in the year. Don’t walk - run!

A very picturesque restaurant, especially at night when the lights come on. But pictures aside, the food was delicious and customer service was excellent, no surprise the restaurant is quite popular and advance reservations are recommended as the place gets quite packed. Where advance reservations aren't made, you might need to wait a while for one of the tables to free up, this happened in our case but the wait time wasn't too long (about 10 minutes). Preparation time for the food was also short- about 15 or so minutes. The restaurant is more enjoyable when you sit outside, this enables you fully enjoy the bubbly atmosphere and lively ambience. Their price point is also quite fair, budget approx €25 - €35 for a proper meal and drink, they have no happy hour offers though. Great place to visit, loved it.
