Worst experience I’ve had in a while at a restaurant. We got seated on the terrace and were handed the menus. The menu has 3 main entrees: rabbit, goat or lamb. There is some pasta with no meat but that’s about it. We ordered an appetizer and then asked for two rabbit entrees, one lamb and one goat entree. We were told they ran out of rabbit for the day. Mind you this was at 1pm, about 2 hours after they opened. We said that’s fine, 1 lamb and 3 goat ones. 10 minutes later waiter comes back to say that they don’t have lamb either. We said, ok 4 goat entrees. He goes to check and comes back saying he only has 3 goat portions left. We said ok 3 goat + some pasta. Over the next hour, we kept waiting and they forgot to bring the appetizer until we reminded them and then, from time to time, we were being told: “Goat almost finished”. After more than an hour we are presented with the check for the appetizer and drink and are told there is no more goat. We wasted more than an hour in this place that supposedly ran out of all their 3 entrees but would continue to sit customers. Avoid...
Read moreI regret that my experience at Gozo started with Aperol Spritz from this restaurant. The drink was made with additional sugar on top of the glass and way too much (almost pure) Aperol liqueur. The proportions of the original cocktail were not met at all. When I tried to get the sugar away with a napkin, all sugar fell into the drink. Although I did not drink it, I cannot believe that they still charged €5.50 for it (quite a lot for Aperol in Malta, if we are talking about this quality). This is the second worst Aperol in my list that I have tried in my life. Maybe it is nice for the staff of the restaurant to Google about Aperol Spritz or watch YouTube videos about how to make it for next time. One more star for food, at least food was good there. But still, Aperol is my favorite drink, that is why this experience made me extremely disappointed and...
Read moreI reluctantly give 1 star, not for the place which is 5 star, but because of the way a member of staff,Ayesha, was treated whilst we were there. The lady with the false smile who I presume was in charge ( small oriental lady),who incidentally, got 2orders wrong in the short time we stayed, was vile with the girl who was on her own and being screamed at from both floors. The waitress was run off her feet, competent, polite and trying to please everyone. The "manageress" also moved a gentlemen mid meal to the end of a table near the door to enable a party of 4 to be seated together. I cannot tolerate bullying. The young lady in question is a stunningly beautiful person who would be an asset to any environment. I gave her a hug on the way out and advised her to find another job! Beautiful place but left a bad taste...
