So there I was, chomping down on my jackfruit sandwich wondering where on earth they had found 4" pieces of jackfruit and why my wife's sandwich had cabbage in it when we realized that the waiter had mixed up our orders. Now, I'm not known to eat slowly, so I was almost halfway through what turned out to be my wife's meal before either of us figured this out, so we ended up each eating half of two different sandwiches - the jackfruit one and the eggplant one. The sandwiches were decently-sized and tasty; only get the jackfruit one if you really like cabbage, as the cabbage features prominently. The photos were taken before I started in, which may seem hard to believe, but it's true - we each received exactly three potato wedges. Now, true, that was three each, but still about half a dozen fewer than one might expect. Fortunately, they were tasty (though a little oilier than some might prefer). The smoothie was a bit of a disappointment - there was nothing smooth about it. It was more like a 7-Eleven Slurpee, and therefore undrinkable until it melted. I did tackle mine with a spoon, but I was hoping for something I could drink. My wife's was drinkable from the start. As others have reported, expect a few bugs in the outdoor dining area. Oh, and avoid touching the picnic tables - the paint comes off readily in small chips that will stick to every sweaty...

I would say it’s like 3.5 stars.. Great ambiance, outside under an avocado tree - that was the only aspect I enjoyed about this place.

Ordered a quinoa egg bowl - it came tiny, practically they stirred a tiny amount of cooked quinoa in the egg and that was that. It was served in a small fruit bowl. It came with exactly one slice of GF bread which was sweet (I asked and apparently it’s made with banana, that’s why - 10MX extra charge for that). This bowl was not exactly tasty or filling, still hungry and I think I’m going to have a 2nd breakfast somewhere else. I didn’t enjoy the food, the taste and it was a small portion.

I found the place a bit noisy too. At first the owner had a loud chat with a Californian family - being cool - at the same time I guess they gave building works, so a bit of drilling and hammering was going on. Then a man came, who started to practice ukulele.

At least 4-5 people came who tried to sell clothes and bracelets.

Practically quite a lot of things I would want to have around...

Lots on offer here for all tastes and needs. Regular/vegetarian/gluten free.

A busy spot with healthy options (and some not as healthy when you want it).

The unsweetened Iced black tea infused with peach and no sugar was a welcome respite from some of the very sweet drinks on offer around Mexico.

I had the GF bread with house cured salmon, cream cheese, dill, and honey mustard. I love Mexican food but I did need a little bit of a break after a couple of weeks.

The place is very popular so we had a short wait but nothing drastic before sitting outside on the shaded patio.

There is also a pastry case inside with GF options (we took stuff to go) and an art gallery from a local collective with some really beautiful and reasonably priced options.

They take cash and credit card.

A note on Gluten Free:

I know that gluten free people are used to pretty terrible food but not here! For an extra 10 peso you can get a tasty gf bread/cake like substitute made from plantains and seeds. It was delish with a...
