La Trattoria 36 has a nice location and the place itself is cute, but my experience was just okay. I ordered the huevos divorciados, looking forward to the classic presentation with two different sauces — instead, I got plain scrambled eggs. No explanation, no heads-up, just… scrambled eggs.
The staff was polite, but not particularly attentive, and by the time I pointed out the mistake, I’d already waited a while and didn’t feel like going through the whole process again.
The food itself wasn’t bad, just not memorable. It might’ve been a fluke, and maybe the Italian dishes are their strong suit, but based on this visit, it felt a little underwhelming. Not the worst, not the...

The waitress did not seem to mind. Try to go before 7 o’clock or so when it really feels up. They could really up their game when it comes to wines. They only have two or three that are available by glass and they’re not very good. Large selection by the...
