Extremely rude manager (thats what she referred herself to be, can't say if its true!). We were at the cafe and bought some limonade and with the intention of buying some coffee too. Because of some from her side misunderstandings about the coffee (she said it wasn't possible to foam the vegan milk, which i absolutely don't agree with), we decided to wait and just had the limonade while using our laptop and Ipad trying to book some bus tickets. (the WIFI was SO slow so it took forever!) After a while, the so called "manager" came with an extremely ignorant attitude firstly asking us if we would like to buy something more. I told her that we were still drinking our limonades (it was really sour so took some time to get through it) and that we would most likely order some coffee too. Then she overfushed us telling us that we couldn't just sit there using the wifi (mind that the café was half empty, and other people using their laptops WITHOUT buying anything) and that it wasn't a cafe but a restaurant. (they advertise their place with a big sign outside that its a cafe with wifi). I'm shocked by how rude she was, i have never ever met a person in the service-industry with such a bad attitude - she was clearly suffering and having a very rough day, I hope, since this would justify just a little bit why she was acting this way: saying things like it should be logically that we couldn't just stay at the cafe if we didn't order more (which we still wanted to but of course not after she freaked out like that!!). I have no idea where all this came from since we been very kind and smiling towards her from the minut we came in. We were not in the cafe for more than an hour or less. We of course understand that we can't take up space not buying anything, but that wasn't the case. I would highly recommend the so called manager of the place to work on her attitude and anger, if she wants to continue managing a cafe. We could tell that both the staff (which btw was very kind) was shocked by her attitude towards us. Even some of the guests was giving us a sympathetic thumps up on...

I really hate leaving bad reviews but this was an exceptionally poor experience unfortunately. We arrived and waited 20 minutes to even be acknowledged. I ordered the "huevos en salsa" and asked if they came with onions, the waiter told me yes. I told him I was allergic to sesame seeds and asked if there were any, even in the bread - he said no, no sesame seeds. I got my food and there were sesame seeds all over AND in the bread, and no onions (I speak and ordered in Spanish so this wasn’t a translation issue). I told him I was allergic and wouldn’t be able to eat this - they remade it but it was so disappointing. Lacking flavor and ingredients. Tasted like an overcooked fried egg in tomato sauce. It also advertised coming with plátanos machos - it had ONE single banana slice on it. There was also no fruit as advertised as coming with it. I had to ask for cutlery and waited 10 minutes to get any, I also asked for salt and never received it. In addition, this place claims to be a “co-working” space but the wifi didn’t work hardly at all which was super frustrating because my friend and I went to try and get...

I hate giving negative reviews, but I had a pretty bad experience. The staff were really nice to us, the drinks were great, but the lady made a mistake on me and my partners order, and we got fries as a side instead of salad, no big deal she told us the salad would be out in 10 minutes. The salad took around 25 minutes to come out, and when it came out it was literally the worst salad we had ever had. The spinach was brown and smelled rotten, there was no dressing whatsoever so ever on the salad. It was just really bad, it felt unsafe to eat because the spinach smelled so bad. The lady did give us a little discount, but the salad just felt like a slap in the...

It isn't my first time in my Bacalar but my first time in this spot in Bacalar. It's an absolute gem! The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. The staff are incredibly attentive and friendly, making the whole experience even better. So I went twice 😛 One highlight you can’t skip is the paletas, it's refreshing, delicious, and perfect for the tropical weather. Oh also the mini boutique tucked in front of the restaurant adds a charming touch. Whether you’re looking for a unique souvenir or just browsing, it’s a lovely surprise! Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in Bacalar. Great food, great service, and an extra scoop of charm on the side!

Must Visit in Bacalar for Views, Garden, Smoothie, Avocado Toast, and Service! Picaflor is a MUST in Bacalar at least once! The view is amazing of the lagoon, the outdoor and open air space in the front is adorable, and the garden in the back so peaceful! I ate here 5-7 times my first 5 days in Bacalar. I enjoyed the green smoothie, avocado toast twice, chilaquiles, desayuno to name a few. It is great for a digital nomad to work from the front area with the view and in the garden! It is so peaceful I love it! Valerie, Kim, Alex, Guimel and Eric and everyone is great!

We ordered one breakfast each and they arrived at 11:45am We finished it like after 30mins at 12:15pm and we sat and used our phone and notebook. From that time till 1:30pm, two different waiters came and asked us if we want to order more. Guys I have just finished a full breakfast and you expected us to keep ordering? And most importantly their cafe is mostly empty at that time (at shown in the photo) so we are not occupying their tables. Food is average but there a lot of other breakfast places available in Bacalar
