Don’t leave any money behind with the staff!!

I rented a kayak here for 3 hours, cost me 300 pesos. That was the good part. Now for the bad.

I gave my backpack to the staff who kept it in the office. When I came back, 500 pesos was missing from my wallet. Funny enough there was still cash in there, but not my 500p note. They said they couldn’t see the camera recordings because the system was broken, but then suddenly another guy said the cameras were working fine, but on Sunday there was no access to the recordings. Well, not my problem.

I confronted them and after some discussion and promising to get the police involved they gave me my money, they were responsible after all. Then I went online and I’m reading three similar stories here on Google reviews. Three!!

So be careful people! Don’t leave your stuff in their hands! Better not go...

Service was very poor and took forever. I had a margarita and it was served in a TINY martini glass then I asked for a beer and was just handed a random beer without asking which one I wanted. Wait staff were in the bar on their phones and I had to go to them to ask about my food as they weren't even paying attention. We had shrimp cocktail and a chicken sandwich for dinner and the shrimp cocktail didn't come with avocado as described plus it was warm and tasted like sweet ketchup. The chicken sandwich was breaded in a VERY sweet breading that was not described on the menu. It had zero condiments on it and came with 4 French fries. Don’t come here, the staff steal from customers!

We went to the location this morning for a pre- booked sunrise kayak tour, and whilst out on the water, we left our backpack with the staff in the office of the bar, which we were assured would be safe. We left the wallet in there because they had previously told us that we had to pay on the morning of the tour, and it wouldn’t be sensible to take it out on the water. We locked the bag with a combination padlock as an additional layer of security and trusted that everything would be fine.

After coming back from the kayak tour, we received the bag and saw that the padlock was still there, but that they had taken cash from the wallet, which was definitely there earlier in the morning.
