Prices like the Ritz…stabbing tourists alert! The place is appealing, small but cute, So we decided to dine (3 people). The food is fine (too much spicy if you are not mexican or indian), but it is ok. The problem is that they abuse with non asked sides and abusive prices for a non luxury place (not at all). They have a five pieces dumplings (a bite size each piece) and I asked if I could have them but each piece in different flavor (instead all of them of the same) and they said yes….instead five pieces I got 8 of different flavors (good that they didn’t have fifty different flavors …lol). Then i asked for a asian mole dish too, and they served it with a small bowl of white rice on the side (not asked) and they charged an extra $3 for it. My wife ate a mongolian beef (super spicy), my daughter dumplings (5 pieces) and another small bowl of white rice too, for drinks, I had 2 local beers, and my wife and daughter had a total of 3 cocktails….the damage was $US 140 for three people (plus tip). Absolutely pricey for a non luxury place, US$14 for each tamarind cocktail….I don’t pay that in a luxury resort, US$3 per tiny bowl of white rice (not even asked), extra dumplings to charge me more?….I won’t come back. By the way we were the only clients there. EDIT: after the owners answer, I am backing my original comment even stronger. Keeping the comparison about the Ritz, yes, Ritz is more expensive, because regardless the outstanding facilities and customer services, they have some class too...you are only pricey without any of that. And you are a cheater, adding not ordered sides to inflate the bill...shame on you! And about the US$14 drinks is a shame too (you didn't even show us the prices by written...not prices of drinks in the menu...intention? We know exactly why...). And don't try to school me, I am an educated traveler, and I have the Ritz credit card too, also I use to be hosted in resorts, and by the way, my resort in Cabo San Lucas was US$600 per night, and the drinks are just US$12...in your "mousetrap" it shouldn't be even...
Read moreIf I could give this place 0 stars I would. I understand there is a bit of a language barrier but they managed to mess up all 8 of our meals, including forgetting two individuals main courses all together. The food took forever, and the server did not come back to check on us until everyone else had finished eating, at which point the two with missing mains just cancelled them all together as the rest of the party was ready to leave. The bills were not even close to correct, and one couple had to ask for theirs 4 times before recieving. I will never eat here again, and strongly suggest tourists explore other options. Easily the worst...
Read moreThe iced tea was VERY good, I have to mention it because so many places give you a terrible drink and call it an iced tea.
We had oysters and the lunch menu, in which you pay 300 pesos and get all you can eat from this very specific selection. The oysters were fresh but not very flavorful, I tried the Thai ones with habanero and ginger and I could taste neither. The special menu was good, the wontons and noodles were really good. We parked in an empty lot right across from the place. I...
