We booked a clear boat tour through Tours Los Cabos and tour provided by Envatours around 8:00 PM while out to dinner, for a tour scheduled the following morning at 9:00 AM. Less than 30 minutes later, when we returned to our hotel room, our sitter informed us that one of our children wasn’t feeling well. I immediately reached out by 8:30 PM to request a cancellation or at least a reschedule.
Despite the quick turnaround, we were met with a rigid enforcement of their 48-hour cancellation policy. The representative declined to help and later stated that unless we could provide a medical certificate, no refund or rescheduling would be granted. I explained that the situation involved a sick child and was entirely unforeseen, but there was no flexibility, compassion, or willingness to find a reasonable solution.
Only after I voiced frustration and noted I’d leave a review did they claim they had “attempted to cancel,” yet still refused to issue a refund or credit.
Be aware: this company’s policies are extremely inflexible, even in good-faith, time-sensitive situations. As a business owner in the service industry myself, this would deeply concern me—not just for this tour, but for any future dealings. If something were to go wrong on the tour itself or if another issue arose, I would worry about how unwilling they might be to resolve it. That kind of rigidity doesn’t inspire confidence or trust.
Policies are important, but how a company chooses to apply them says everything about their values. Unfortunately, this experience showed me that customer care is not a priority here. I would not recommend booking unless you’re prepared to absorb the full cost, no matter...
Read moreSo booking this was very easy please keep in mind I was not allowed to book their sun set tour unless i reserved the hole boat so I was forced into the 5 o’clock spot. I got a confirmation the night before my tour and all is good. I responded confirming that we will be there. Me and the group arrived at the place and time that was assigned to us. Unfortunately to my surprise when we got there. The person greeting us with the most smug attitude informed us that our tour was cancelled and “you’re not going anywhere today ladies, trust me” we were very puzzled by his attitude so we walked over the office. Sadly nothing got better there because their attitude and customer service was even worse in there. Honestly we were being spoken to in a very rude and disrespectful manner. “Did you not get a call or an email” I said no “well sometimes we call and people don’t answer” “but no one called me” then we were told to call in 2 days to make sure that boats are going out… we called the next day and the person on the phone was confused why no one rescheduled us for that day as they were operating normally with rescheduled trips from the day before…anyway after $100 cab ride round trip we asked for a refund and went on a different boat ride that was a blast. I don’t recommend this place what so ever. Pay a little more somewhere else get treated better and a...
Read moreEnvatours clear boats have a whopping large percentage of visitors - their innovative marketing is evident. The crowd and almost cattle-call of signing waivers, adorning wrist bands, standing out in the sun awaiting your name; the removal of shoes upon boarding the boat; the appropriation of weight ( yes they removed & transferred a female passenger to another boat as she stated her life jacket size large was too small); and the tip jar upon wharf approach, forced upon you - it was all too much.
The crowd at the 11:30am was a lot, note to readers go earlier or later and let the cruise passengers from Princess Cruises have 11am - 1pm.
The crowd at the Arch was Disneyland-like and Arnold our Captain - and Raul our guide tried to make it a clear photo opportunity but their are too many boats - Envatours had 5 out and competitors 7. It was an armada of sorts.
My husband enjoyed the sometimes splash and bumpy ride - as it was his first time around - I assured him it would be our last. It’s just too much - Viator is not the cheapest - yes we saw fish for one minute by Lovers Beach but that’s all.
The hype is real but if it’s for social media - well...
