Honestly, I don’t know why the ratings are so high—I think mainly for ambience, which is very nice—cute indoor and outdoor seating. The coffee is subpar—my latte was watered down and overpriced; honestly, cafe expresa in La Comer is way better. I’d rather go there where I’m treated better and pay way less for a tastier drink. The service is not friendly, attentive or helpful and the cashier was very cold and seemed like she was in a rush ;even though it was off hours, not busy and no one else was in line to order after me). Also, I ordered in Spanish and they proceeded to talk about me in Spanish, which I clearly understood, complaining that I didn’t add tip (why should I add a tip when there was subpar service and I was taking it to go? If I’m taking to go but service is great I’ll add something usually but not when servers are rude or expect a tip for doing less than the bare minimum). Finally, this was my second time trying the spot with pretty much the same feeling. I thought I’d give them a second chance because maybe they were having a bad day the first time I went. Nope, I think subpar service and products are the norm here. Will not be back a third time. No pics because...

This is a wonderful cafe in Cabo. I would definitely recommend Doce Cuarenta for breakfast, brunch, lunch, a snack or evening dessert. We came several times during our week stay. The space is hidden in the back of a restaurant, just follow the long alley in. It opens up to a large spacious courtyard with plenty of outdoor seating and cozy indoor tables. The courtyard is beautiful during the day and very intimate with the strung lights in the evening.
Seems like locals and tourists both enjoy the coffee and ambiance here. It’s usually busy, but there’s enough space for everyone to hang out and still feel comfortable. The staff are polite, the service is quick and they keep the place well maintained.
They have baked goods that looked yummy. I didn’t get to try any this time, since we visited after our meal. That just means we’ll have to...
Read moreI've been to Doce Cuarenta in La Paz and absolutely loved it. I'm thrilled to see they opened a location in Cabo. The chai latte is delicious, a billion times better than the Starbuck's one, the service and the scones were great. There's parking, lots of outside seating area, the tables inside have power plugs I'm case you need to work and the bathroom area is ample and clean. Will definitely be going back repeatedly. The gravel looks a little hard on a wheelchair, but maybe with some good all terrain wheels... think big rocks! *Don't be literally the worst person on earth and leave your dog inside your car with no air conditioner on, in 28-30° weather.
