Hands down one of the BEST guide companies I’ve ever had the privilege to adventure with.

Boat Captain Fernando was an excellent and trusted driver, even through sometimes challenging and rough surface conditions. He also always positioned the boat in a respectful way to the marine animals and placed guests in the perfect path for incredible interactions. Fernando always was there to help bring in cameras or weightbelts, and put a ladder out for guests to make it easier to climb onboard. He was also communicating with other captains out on the water to make sure we all were able to get a look at what was out that day. We even found and swam with hundreds of mobula rays, dolphins, sea lions, and even some orcas!!

Alex, the owner of the company and guide was extremely professional throughout our entire tour and it was incredibly obvious how much he loved what he did. Alex is so passionate about the animals and ecosystem of Baja, that he even helped to organize and host an educational town meeting where all travelers, captains and guides were invited to listen to a presentation by one of the worlds most experienced orca divers from Norway, to teach everyone how to safely and ethically be in the water with marine mammals. I mean, how many guides care that much?!

From the very beginning during our planning stage, Alex responded completely to all of my questions, usually within minutes or at least within the same day. Then when we stepped onboard, right away he explained the plan for the day, the safety procedures of the boat, gave an explanation of landmarks and our geographical location, showed us where to find the food and water he brought us, played some fun music and remembered everyone’s name. He set the tone on board with his infectious positive energy, and was always on the bow looking for whatever we could find.

When it was time to get in the water, Alex always let everyone know to get geared up, and the proper way to behave around the animals so as not to disturb their natural movements. He always jumped in with us, and was an exceptional role model underwater. He also speaks perfect English and explains things quickly and thoroughly. The cost of the tour was also incredibly fair.

Overall, Alex’s knowledge of marine animals, their behavior/biology and environments, coupled with his diplomacy surrounding the hopes/expectations of eager travelers, comes together to create the perfect experience for people to see, experience and never forget their visit to the Sea of Cortez. We just got back from an unbelievable two-day ocean safari, and it was without a doubt one of the most incredible wildlife experiences we’ve ever had. If you’re thinking about booking this trip—do it! You will not regret it.

Day 1 was led by David and Isabel, who were incredibly warm, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about marine life. We swam with a whale shark, watched hundreds of mobula rays glide beneath us, and were completely surrounded by a pod of around 800 dolphins—absolutely magical!

Day 2, we were with Alex and Kayla, and the magic continued. They brought fantastic energy and expertise, and they led us to a rare and unforgettable encounter with wild orcas. Seeing them up close in their natural habitat was an emotional, once-in-a-lifetime moment.

What truly sets this operation apart is how professional and advanced their approach is. They have an incredibly skilled and knowledgeable captain who can spot animals from an impressive distance. On top of that, they use drones and even a spotter plane to help locate marine wildlife, giving guests the absolute best chance of seeing something extraordinary.

From start to finish, the crew was focused on safety, respect for the animals, and making sure everyone had the best possible experience. The boats were comfortable, the gear was great, and the energy was infectious.

I went to the Maldives for the Shark Fanatics expedition and had such an amazing experience I extended my stay for the Whale Sharks and Manta Madness expedition.

From the our first dives, I was blown away. Alex and his crew were exceptional, prioritizing our safety while sharing their extensive knowledge and passion for sharks, mantas and other marine life.

The shark encounters were my favorite, and simply mind-blowing. We got up close and personal with various species, including magnificent Tiger sharks, all while respecting their habitat and using ethical observation methods.

The equipment and scenic locations were top-notch, and the educational component added depth to the experience. I left with a newfound appreciation for sharks and marine conservation.

This expedition provided unforgettable memories and was an adventure of a lifetime. I can't recommend it enough for nature enthusiasts, shark lovers, and thrill-seekers....
