I rarely give reviews, but I felt that this place deserved one. I was greeted by a gentleman who was quite rude.. I asked for a table and got shrugged at and told to pick one… this didn’t bother me too much. I then placed my order with the gentleman… when the order came it was double the quantity that I asked for and completely wrong… as my Spanish is quite bad, I accepted that something got lost in translation.
The worst part of the meal here was most certainly the food! The order that came was absolutely vile! Pork tacos.. the pork was tough… the tortilla was stale and falling to pieces.. two hours later and I still have the rancid taste of decay in my mouth from this (the meat was most certainly going off).
I waited 15 minutes for someone to bring the check and when they did it was almost $400 pesos for what should have been 3 gringas and a beer.
I feel completely ripped off and disgusted by the food.
I know that this is someone’s business and how they make their living as I am a business owner myself….which is why I was sceptical to leave a review… but if they treat everyone like this then there will be no customers left… so please for your own sakes take this on board and improve...
Read more(This review does not cover the food, because we left within 10 minutes of sitting down.) Awful. Avoid. This is a typical tourist trap. They don't take credit cards. They don't tell you this. You enter, they sit you down and immediately try to sell you food and drinks. Quick. Quick. Quick. Get drinks now! Before you figure it out. No printed menu. Look up at the board for the food menu (2 meters x 2 meters and in the lower right side in small print says 'cash only'). You order, they come back with the drinks they insisted you order immediately and say no cards accepted. OK. Obviously not going to order food. How to pay for the drinks? Where's the ATM? Only one right there in the restaurant with ridiculously high fees: 94 MXN 'access fee' + 15 MXN 'commission'. Less than $20 USD becomes $33.49 MXN after the ATM charges. This on top of too-expensive $5 USD beers. Way over-priced for what a just-average local place in Cancun charges normally. Spend your money at a place that isn't so unscrupulous. ALSO - reminder to us all: if you want to pay with a card in this town, always remember to ASK before...
Read moreI am torn about this place. The soup and bbq quesadilla were very good and at a reasonable price. Total with a guacamole, not generous amount, was 175 pesos. I also ordered two margaritas without asking the price. At the end they charged me 150 pesos for each drink. They were good margaritas but i dis not ask for anything special so they were about twice the cost of what i expected. I would say tourists need to be very careful here and ask for all costs...
