Toks — Restaurant in Cancún

I have been coming here for years And feel like something has changed this year with this Toks. The food is great, reasonable prices, and plenty of space to sit and enjoy your food. These last couple of weeks I have been going in to get food to go and at there is always at least 3 workers in the front. One wearing a black shirt, one wearing a white polo, and one wearing a grey shirt. I don’t know what their roles are but in 4 different occasions I have come in to get food to go and they all say the same thing, “Someone will be right with you to take your order.” Except 3-5 minutes pass with no one to take my order, when I ask them (the staff in the front) if they can take my order they say no, a server has to come up to take my order. They weren’t always like this, I used to be able to go in and place my order with the first worker I see. Very disappointed with them - possibly a change in management and restructuring their intake process? Not customer-friendly.

This place one of the best places I have been in Cancun, beside being clean ,,food and service was really good. during our stay I tried to just go to local, more authentic, restaurants but the last day of my stay I decided to try Toks , entrance was inside the mall or Plaza. we ordered a tortilla soup and also enchilada con mole . and both tasty. mole (the black sauce ) tasted different than what I had tried before but after couple of bites , I like it very much! beside we asked for Corona beer and they brought me a glass with lots of lime juice, ice and salted rim.. first experience to have my beer with lots of ice and lime juice ,,,BUT it was very very nice!! and...

This place is massive and truly has it all. The lunch deals are excellent value and seriously delicious. Although it has the feel of a chain, the quality far surpasses other local “authentic” spots we visited at double the price. It’s clear this place is popular, with plenty of people enjoying food and coffee. The strong air conditioning was a very pleasant bonus, making for a comfortable dining experience.
