Carusso — Restaurant in Baja California Sur

If you're in a large party they put you on a " wait" list until they get a table big enough to accommodate. The waiter comes over and offers wine and pours water. You then go over to the salad bar. The waiter comes back to take your order. I had the Beef Saltibocca. Not sure what cut of meat that was. But it was shaped in a circle and in the middle was bacon and julienne carrots. Along with cheese and some other leaf veggie. And some vegetable garnish that I didn't know what it was and no one could figure out. The steak was ok. Nothing stood out about it. Desert consisted of ice cream. There were other deserts that really didn't catch my eye. Then came the Anniversary & Birthday celebrations. A bottle of Champagne was ordered. I don't drink but I heard the Champagne was good. The wait staff made funny hats out of napkins. Celebrated the Anniversary and sang Happy Birthday. Very nice. And the staff left. Without bringing us plates and forks. Waiters passed by our table 3 different times ... thinking they would pick up on it. Nope. We finally asked. This restaurant is small and very noisy. The staff is friendly as always but they were lacking in the attention to...

It was not Italian. It was Mexican food.
