Beachin' Burrito — Restaurant in Isla Mujeres

The flavor of the Cali Classic burrito that I had for lunch here was unmatched across the entire island. A lot of the other Mexican food I had on the island was kind of bland so when I tasted this burrito, I was blown away by the rich flavors. You could tell the owner really cared about creating the best tasting food, as he puts in the hours at his own restaurant. I can’t speak for how clean the ingredients are, I heard him spray something into the pan, but I was in vacation mode so taste and price were all I was concerned about. Definitely coming back here. I had the catch of the day special and it was flipping amazing! Everything was fresh and well balanced. The potatoes served with were literally perfect; just a bit crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. Sauces to complement not overpower or mask. Risky move, but I went scuba diving just after with Sea Hawk Divers (also great!) and I felt great all day, not "burrito hangover". Right from the start Luis and Manuel are there to greet you with a smile and friendly service... the location is a street vend type with a few stools and a water park right across the street. I have tried most of the menu items and everything is very tasty and properly prepared... it's very clean and the ingredients are top notch... Luis caters to the locals market for most of his food items... The food is filling and is reasonably priced and I have eaten there on some days twice during my vacation... Highly recommended and I will be back...
