Great time. As you can read my previous reviews while in Cancun, 2 females in our group of 6 couldn't swim. The tour guide Carlos Andres - Cancun Adventures was excellent! One of the woman has gone to snorkel in Hawaii and she said she felt more comfortable here than there. We rented golf carts and visited Marbella about 25-30 minutes away (pedal to the metal) and had pretty much everything on the menu. Not a single complaint except more time. Visit the island. Very nice people, great environment, offers tourists more "realistic" Mexican food and culture. We stopped and bought Cohibas, Romeo&Juliet cigars. Great price. Haggled a little bit and negotiated. Everyone won. Great time and overall worth at minimum an excursion. Otherwise take a full day trip. If I come back to Cancun I'll definitely do a full day in...
Read moreWe did an Isla Mujeres excursion, rented a golf cart and toured the island. We were here 24 years ago when it wasn't so populated. There was only small homes with chickens running around. The people were sparse but very friendly. Today it's over populated with over-inflated prices. People are pushy and demanding. We were very disappointed to see how a beautiful island became a breeding ground of greed. I doubt we will ever go...

Prices were very reasonable for the snorkeling trip and lunch, drinks, and transportation from your resort and back were included. Isla Mujeres is a true "local" spot. Street vendors are everywhere! Never pay the first price. The vendors ask for a lot of money for their items! Always bargain! Don't get taken! Also, if you rent a golf cart while you are there, never pay over $20 a half...
