Marina Bartolomé — Restaurant in Isla Mujeres

Was excited to try this place out for lunch but had a very disappointing experience. I’m very patient at restaurants as I’ve worked in food service but waiting over an hour for two entrees is ridiculous. We got our drinks quickly after we were seated but after 30 minutes passed I asked to check on our food as we were very hungry. The woman who seated us told me that we arrived while they were serving a lot of large parties and that our food should be out right away. An entire hour had passed since our arrival and we still had nothing. When asking other employees on our food status, they also seemed confused and became avoidant of us.

The wait wouldn’t be so unbearable if staff had gave us updates on our food or if they gave us chips to hold us for the hour wait.

When we finally got our food, it was even more disappointing. The fish tacos were very bland and tasted like they had been out for some time as they were soggy. (The small plate that was brought out with it was also wet?) I communicated this and there was no response from the servers.

I would not come back here. Overall a very bad experience and very pricey compared to other spots on the island with better food. The views were very pretty but it seems like they cater to large parties coming in from the dock. I read other reviews with similar...

Breakfast was a sheer delight! The coffee was great. I was surprised w a toast, muffin and cookie basket which was a great touch. My breakfast was a bowl of some type w tortilla chips, beans, chicken and eggs. I clearly overordered and couldn't finish it but it was first rate! The staff was so friendly.

We attempted a comeback at dinner to meet friends but the DJ was SO loud we ended up not staying and opted for a different restaurant all together.

We came after dinner a few weeks back and it was just lovely seeing the moon and stars sipping our wine near the water. It was subdued and beautiful which is what we hoped for dinnertime.

Another note, we're cruisers and always frequent restaurants offering dock access. We'd love to give yiu business yet want a quiet dinner setting...possibly we just chose the...

I had an amazing experience at Marina Bartolomé! I came with my family and from the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly welcomed. The atmosphere was warm and family-oriented, and the customer service was outstanding.

A special thank you to our waiter Jorge, who went above and beyond to make our visit unforgettable. He patiently answered all our questions and even asked the chef to prepare a special dish for our 1-year-old — something we haven’t experienced anywhere else in Mexico. The level of care and attention we received truly made us feel like royalty.

I will definitely be bringing my entire family and friends here in the future. I highly recommend Marina Bartolomé to anyone looking for excellent food, genuine hospitality, and a place that treats you like family.
