EL SOFA CAFÉ — Restaurant in Jalisco

I was told that if I wanted a good strong coffee that I needed to visit El Sofa. I drive down this street every day to go to work and not once have I stopped or hardly taken notice of this safe. The first day I arrived they were having an issue with their coffee machine not working. They aske me to wait 10 minutes and that it would be working. After waiting 15 minutes the woman thoroughly apologized. Because I had not fulfilled my need to try to "the best" coffee in Puerto Vallarta, I decided to come back the next day to see if their machine was working. Thankfully it was and the same woman apologized again. Once I ordered my black americano, I started to hand her the money and she assured me that since I had waited so long yesterday, the coffee was on her. What amazing customer service! And as for the coffee... I believe I found my new favorite place to get a strong black coffee! El Sofa...

Quaint little breakfast cafe nook. Cafe Americano was both strong and very high quality. They even carried stevia, which is rare to find! For food I ordered the “Carrillo” omelette, which is basically exactly what I almost always order at restaurants for breakfast when available. I really love this little gem. Found it about 1 yr ago but just getting around to writing a review.

Firstly the service is excellent. All food is fresh and very tasty. The menu is a nice break from traditional Mexican food. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu!

Also, owner speaks excellent Spanish. She clearly takes pride in being a local business owner.
