Zapata Antojeria y Bar — Restaurant in Jalisco

The Good- I have been here a few times with my girlfriend and we actually really enjoy the place. There is good bar food items like wings, burgers, pizza and the shots are 2 for 1. The wings I really enjoy although they are small but still good. The pizza is good and the arrachera fries are even better. They also have good deals on certain days like 6 peso wings and 100 peso pizzas. The Bad- The reason for only 3 stars is the service is average at best. We arrived about 20 minutes prior to happy hour ending and sat unattended for almost the entire 20 minutes. We wanted to get an order of drinks but the server came back after the happy hour and said she could not put the order in. We have also been other times and the servers do not make you feel welcomed and you can tell they don’t really want to serve you. From the moment I walk in the deco is comfortable chairs with cushions are to my liking. They have good service. I love the wings and fries they are so good! They make them to my liking I always ask both wings and foes be extra crispy and they never fail! I always visit this place when in town. When I use to live here I went at least once a week. The food is so much better than the surrounding restaurants. If you haven’t here you’re sleeping on it. The drinks are also decent prices along with the food. I definitely suggest you give it a try if you haven’t already. The consistency of a place is always my favorite thing and what keeps me coming back to any restaurant and in this case Zapata is on my list of consistency with flavor and service. I really like this restaurant next door to Los Muertos Brewing. I started coming here because Los Muertos is so crowded on NFL football days and Zapatas was always empty. I found that Zapatas is more of a Mexican locals place and gets busier later at night. They get all the football games and will change the TVs to whatever you want. I always get the Arrachera steak. It is thick and tender and soo good. And $160 pesos! They have an extensive (COLD) beer selection, decent tequila and mezcal selections, and make pretty good cocktails too.
