This is a favorite of ours when we are in town! Huge menu, happy service, yummy food! We found this gem a few visits ago to the area. After the first visit we were hooked. The first time we were seated on the steps left of the entrance under the trees and lights it was so enjoyable. We were 2 families with kids and we ate appetizers, meals, dessert and drinks for around $70 - what a deal! The rest of the week we ordered 2 additional times and had delivery to our condo. I think the fresh guacamole is what we craved the most. It was like the price of a forth a cup serving size at an american restaurant but they gave you a quart!

This time we took some other family who was traveling with us and they loved the food too. We have vegetarians, gluten free, and picky kids and there was something for everyone! We were seated right in the upper level in the open veranda with a great view of the "evening movie" that they project on the wall of the building across the street. It would be fun if there was a more kid friendly version they could play.

We did have fluent Spanish speakers in our group, but it really doesn't matter the waiters do fine. No one got sick (a true test in Mexico) the food was delish! The fish with the white sauce was amazing. I had a vegetarian enchilada combo that was yummy. The kids had the nacho appetizer as their meal (after they devoured the guac) and the nachos were huge with beans and cheese and toppings. Everything we ordered was filling and delicious. Waiters seemed challenged at times because the restaurant is so choppy into many different sections on different levels, but we don't come to Mexico to dine in a rush, so It didn't bother us at all.

Highly recommend this place.

Note: There was a set of men that ate next to us.... they complained the whole time and were pretty snobbish and made snarky remarks about our conversations. They were rude to the waiters and they were so annoying. Please don't bring your LA attitude down here and think you are a food critic in a poor country. This town is amazing and the people work so hard here to make a living!!...

I was excited to eat at Gaby's Restaurant, however, the Customer Service was terrible and my experience was ruined.

My Boyfriend ordered a Mango Margarita and a Lemon flavoured Margarita was delivered instead. He decided to look past the mistake and drink it anyways.

I ordered the Cinco de Mayo meal because it came with a variety of things to try (mole, enchilada, stuffed pepper, tamale). We had a few questions first such as how big the meal was and what is in the tamale.

When our meals were delivered, I recieved two tamales. We called the Waiter over and asked if I recieved the correct meal because from what I understood in the description of the Cinco de Mayo meal, there was supposed to be more variety. The Waiter confirmed that the meal I recieved was the chicken tamales. After reminding him that I did not order the chicken tamales, the Waiter did not correct the mistake or did not have any intention to correct it. Instead, he continued insisting that I ordered the tamales. Each time I told him that I didn't, he would point to the menu at the tamale description and tell me that I ordered the tamales. This continued 4 times. After trying to clarify and defend myself 4 times, I gave up and told him to take the meal away.

In the end, the Waiter did not correct the mistake. He didn't once offer to rectify the problem. He continued to tell me I was wrong. After I told him to take the meal away, he didn't even offer me another option. I spent the remainder of the visit watching my boyfriend eat. The Waiter never returned to our table. We had to ask another young woman to bring our bill to the table.

After we left, I had to go to another Restaurant to eat while my boyfriend watched me eat. It was disappointing and I...

My expectations were so high, I usually Do. Not. Do. Negative. Reviews. But... This Place is just riding on reviews that are no longer warrented. Perhaps this place was the bomb in the past, but there Are Street Taco Vendors everywhere in Puerto Vallarta that sell way more Flavorful Food. Their Basic Limón margarita started out Fantastic...And then it went to heck. From Stale Chips to Flavorless salsa. No Bueno! Food here is bland. If you want something with flavor this is not going to cut it. Furthermore, they are not very accommodating if you don't like something. Instead of accepting feedback and asking how they can resolve the problem, they get Upset and Mistreat you. We Sent our plates Back Completely FULL. If that isn't a CLUE I don't know what is. Learn. To. Read. The. Room! Cooking Class? No thanks. I can cook food that tastes like Re-heated Frozen Walmart Food Any Day, All Day. A waste. Their Chille rellleno had giant hard pieces of cheese that were very chewy and Gross! Their Chicken in Mole tasted horrible cause they didn't clean the chicken well enough. Very Disgusting. We will never return And We. Will. Let. Everyone. Know. These folks actually Do. Not. Care. If you are not...

We live in California, now celebrating our 18 years of marriage in Mexico. Everything is so colorful, the streets, its people, the drinks, the restaurants. First week we were in Puerto Vallarta. Walking through the center we found this colorful place. You enter by going up a staircase that is at street level and is on the first floor. We liked it immediately and sat at a table on the terrace, there are also tables inside and on a very spacious patio. The staff is very helpful and friendly, since I know what they offer as a Mexican in California and this menu has dishes that I don't know, they helped me choose what to eat, it helps a lot that I speak Spanish. We ordered the classic guacamole and it arrived quickly. Then fajitas of three meats: beef chicken and shrimp to share. A huge plate arrived and Sergio - the waiter - put it on a tray table, added tequila and set it on fire. Quite a show. Also yummy. We spoke with another of the waiters: Muriel, a very nice Indian who gave us a lot of information since it was our first day in the city. I highly recommend it.

A group of us from the U.S. all came down to PV for the 1st time for a week. We went to Gaby's based on Trip Advisor and Google reviews. We stayed in Peninsula district, taxi ride was 90-100 Mex Pesos. The Zona Romantica was amazing, Gaby's food was amazing, super cheap, and great service. We ordered the special for 3 and it was enough food for 6. Came with Red Snapper, Lobster, Octopus, Mussels, Scallops and much more. All 5 of us had multiple Margaritas and beers, a few different appetizers and our total check was around 100$ USD (for 5 People). Libron was our waiter and service was on point the whole time. Margaritas were delicious as well as the view from the balcony was great. I give this place 5 stars since our overall experience was amazing. I also have to say, this is MEXICO not the United States so be on Mexican time not United States time...lol. Service may be a little slower then you're used to. So just ask when a waiter walks by for a new beer or if you need something and they will help you tentatively. Cheers!
