I dont often find a place here really worth plugging. My wife and I have lived here for 4 years. We have eaten at a lot of places. Most are quite mediocre. Tonight we were surprised. Le Bistro. We must've walked by it a thousand times. Tonight we went there. Ambiance 10/10. Service 11/10, food 9.75 out of 10. They started us with a bread and cracker selection and our drinks. She had passion fruit, I had a few glasses of Merlot. We ordered appetizers and my wife had the green salad but really it was loaded with surprises and the croutons were great, crispy yet crumbly. I started with lobster potstickers. They were plated over a wonderful sauce. At first I was skeptical because I thought they would be crunchier. Then I cut one in half and took a bite. Wow, the flavors were amazing and the texture seemed to be perfect for them. My wife had Cornish chicken for her main and it was tender, juicy and flavorful. Ok this is where the .25 is lost. I ordered the Filet Mingon south of Med/rare knowing damn well that I haven't had a great steak anywhere in Vallarta. I had low expectations and it delivered on them. I'll say that it probably could have passed for med rare somewhere (probably here) but a bit too much. It was drey and tough. I ate all the sides. They were awesome. I left a little over have of the 4or maybe 6 oz. Steak on the plate. This is where service gets an 11. The waiter came and asked how was the steak. I was honest that it was dry and tough but assured that it was not a problem. He apologized deeply and insisted that he bring me the short ribs dish and said something about the quality of the steak not being great and again apologized. I declined but he again insisted. I accepted it. WOW! It was nothing short of excellent. I must say the overall experience was excellent and we were discussing when we are going back before we finished.

Not cheap eats but beautiful for an occasion or date night. Everything with 20% tip was less than 200.00usd. We are very...

Tucked away in the river park that houses well taken care of cats, of Puerto Vallarta, you can spend time walking and shopping before dinning. Don't forget to bring a few cat treats. After, you can stroll into this elegant restaurant offers an unforgettable dining experience.

From the moment we stepped inside, we were enveloped in a warm and inviting atmosphere, complete with soft lighting, live jazz (noise level convo friendly), and impeccable service. Our servers were attentive, knowledgeable, and happy to guide us through the menu, which boasts an impressive array of vegetarian, sea and land options.

I opted for the Mole de Verduras, a rich and complex vegetable dish smothered in a decadent mole sauce, made with almond nuts, which is rare to find. Restaurants usually serve boring vegetarian dishes that are lazy and usually are just a bell pepper onion mix. Each bite was a masterclass in flavor and texture, with the tender vegetables perfectly balanced by the deep, velvety sauce.

My companions raved about their dishes as well, and we all agreed that the portions were generous and the presentation was stunning.

The best part? The price for our three-course meal, including drinks and dessert, was incredibly reasonable – a testament to their commitment to providing exceptional value without sacrificing an ounce of quality.

Recommended for: Special occasions, romantic evenings, vegetarians, and anyone seeking a sophisticated dining experience without breaking the bank.

Ambiance, music and decor is amazing Jazz band is qualified, played the world’s biggest jazz fests

Food pretty good, couple things weren’t super like unsalted onion soup but all the mains & deserts were amazing.

to be frank, I wouldn’t go there just to eat if it was for the food only but the experience overall is highly recommendable.

Service was outright bad.

Very long period without touch ups, avoided eye contact, always had to ask to order stuff, server swore habanero drinks weren’t spicy, they obviously were.

Forgot twice to bring qr code for wifi

Said the green tea was decaf, asked if he was certain, it wasn’t.

We were periods without water, had to ask for new bottles everytime.

Some more training needed for him, especially when he very confidently ASKED 20 or 25% tip when the check came as if this were the only two mandatory options. This will turn off anyone who doesn’t like confrontation from ever coming back.

As someone who has operated fine dining establishments this server fits the profile of one that could be great but he needs a lot more training on how to approach things, details, attention and he needs to stop misleading the consumer with overconfidence and educate himself on the actual products he’s...

We had the most incredible dining experience at Le Bistro Restaurant, and a big part of that was thanks to our amazing server, Idalia. From the moment we sat down, she made us feel like VIPs, providing the highest quality of service with a friendly and warm demeanor. Idalia was not only attentive but also incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, offering great recommendations and answering all of our questions with ease. She truly went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable experience. The ambiance at Le Bistro is simply beautiful, well decorated, with a cozy, intimate feel that makes it the perfect spot for any occasion! The staff was top-notch, and you could tell they all worked seamlessly together to make our evening special. The food was absolutely outstanding. Every dish was perfectly prepared, bursting with flavor, and beautifully presented. The drinks were just as great, and complemented the dishes perfectly. We will definitely be back and highly recommend Le Bistro to anyone looking for incredible food, drinks, and top-tier service. HUGE thanks to Idalia, Francisco, and the entire team for making our visit unforgettable!!

Nice place for lunch. We had not been to the Le Bistro Cafe since it reopened under new ownership a few years ago. The original one was very elegant with lots of over the top sculptures and decor, and very expensive. The new one is a simplified decor (minus the artwork), but still the quiet riverside location makes for a nice experience. The lunch menu is reasonably priced and the portions are generous. We had the chicken teriyaki rice bowl and the veggie sandwich, both were very good. They have the best fresh iced tea we've found in PV. It looked as though business (on a Tuesday) was a little slow, and they are using just a fraction of the restaurant's floor space. There are large areas of the space that are empty. It was a very large restaurant when was open around 10 years ago. Hopefully, business will pick up, this is one of PC's best locations. Update: After being closed for a year due to COVID-19, Le Bistro is open again with many of the same staff for breakfast and lunch. I think they are closed on Mondays.

My wife and I have been wanting to go for a while. The restaurant is beautiful and has a great atmosphere. We had onion soup that was amazing. The beet salad was some of the best I've had anywhere. The purèe was incredible. A unique flavor not too rich but very flavorful. The red snapper filet was fresh, perfectly seasoned and cooked and the sauce and beets made it addictive. I'd have it any day. My wife loved the duck enchiladas. It really brought together the flavors. Finally, I had the Rojo atardecer cocktail which was excellent and not overpowering. The staff were very accommodating and the hostess was very friendly. The view along the river was easily the best on the Rio Cuale. I look forward to going back again!
