We arrived expecting an authentic Italian experience and the reviews from even today we're really excellent and encouraged us to come and eat here.
We were welcomed warmly as we arrived and the restuarant has a dimly lit atmosphere, asides from the mixture of blinding white light and the soft amber hues it looks lovely.
We were shown to our table which was situated nicely however were not really greeted by our server.
Approximately 15 minutes later the server came to take our order and asked us if we would like drinks. We asked for a menu as we didn't have one the waiter almost aggressively pointed at the middle of the table where there was a card with two QR codes haphazardly sellotaped on.
Now I would like to start with the highlight of the experience. The Naranjada drink we both revieved, it was lovely.
I ordered a panini and fries and my friend the carbonara. Whilst waiting we were offered stale yet strangely under baked foccacia without Balsamic, oil and salt. Just the weird dated bread. Then the fries came as a starter for some reason... (?)
Our food then arrived incorrect. I was given an oily schnitzel with cheese on top and very al dente pasta, more than what is required.
My friend recieved her carbonara which had onions in it... and we asked for black pepper which took about 10 mins to find as apparently , as it seemed, nobody knew where the black pepper was in the Italian. My friend asked for parmasan cheese for the top of her pasta. The waiter came over to serve the cheese but didn't really know how to use the grater? Which is the only sensible conclusion for the heavy petting of the cheese with bare hands. In the end my friend declined the cheese.
There service left alot to be desired. Rude, borderline aggressive and just uninformative with no warmth whatsoever.
Ignoring the random selection of tv adverts playing including a john lewis xmas advert on the tvs?
Not worth the time or money...
Read moreAn Italian restaurant situated along the Reforma street. We visited here in the evening and it wasn't crowded. The aroma of the sourdough pizza base was very pleasant. We ordered the following: Vegetarian pizza, Caprese Sandwich, french fries, and Pana Cotta. For beverages, we had an Italian soda of passionfruit, cosmopolitan, Mango margarita and Corona. They first placed some salsas/dips in the table. The pizza was really tasty and had toppings of cherry tomatoes, mushroom, basil leaves and spring onion. The pizza had 8 pieces and was sufficient for our group. The panni was also good with a generous amount of cheese, tomato slices and had pesto flavour. The ambience was good for the evening with some music and low light. The menu is online and you can translate for English. Staff was very friendly and the service was quick. The price point is also for the quality and ambience. A good place to visit when in the...
Read moreThis is a solid good Mexican Italian restaurant in my opinion. It's a safe good meal. A good service good atmosphere. We read all the positive and negative reviews. The waiter was just fine and understood our instructions specifically changing out the penne for spaghetti on the chicken parmesan which was no problem. Drinks were good, a bit sweet, but a good value. We got the spaghetti and meatballs and the chicken parmesan as above. Both were good. I think the spaghetti was cooked really good. Portions were a good size.
Disappeared to be a solid good chain restaurant experience for good Italian food. What I did like was that unlike another Italian restaurant we went to, the chicken parmesan was appropriately, in my opinion, served with spaghetti and not with french fries as per the other restaurant.
Bathrooms were clean and they take credit cards,...
