Surasang — Restaurant in Mexico City

Perfect for having lunch/dinner with a group of friends. I went with a group of like 10 people and we ate pretty well by sharing different dishes. I will have to go back to capture the name of the dishes that I would suggest to you but in general, dumplings were great and a dish with rice and egg was pretty good as well. The soup I feel like it was missing more seasoning but overall OK. For drinks it was really cool to see and try korean options that the restaurant offers. Service was really good (props to waiters for having such a good memory) and prices were average as well (for big groups, for two people maybe the price is higher but you also get a lot of food). Atmosphere would get more stars if the place was cleaner. I feel like it was missing a little bit of maintenance. There is a parking building just in front of the restaurant but you can also park next to the road (we did this and it was safe, nothing happened to us but maybe more at night I would recommend leaving your car in the...

Overall the food was mediocre, and the service erring on slow and inattentive.

Pros: There is a good variety of banchan, and they are all fairly tasty. My favourites are the kimchi and fish cakes. Sundubu-jjigae is also decent.

Cons: Ordered the dolsot bibimbap (as opposed to bibimbap) because we like it when the rice is crispy from the sizzling dolsot. Unfortunately the dolsot was not hot. Seng galbi is very thin, and tastes underwhelming. I asked if the marinated galbi contains soy sauce, and the server replied yes, so I said that I do not want it (because I cannot have soy sauce). The server misunderstood and still brought it.

They have a huge menu, so perhaps we simply did not order the good dishes. However, I would say that this is not the place...

Bueno ni es un funa, realmente es una queja por el peor servicio en la historia. Primero llegamos un chico nos atendió bien por el momento, llegamos, nos asignaron una mesa, nos dieron el menú y todo bien en ese momento. Ordenamos y todo OK! Eso sí entendemos que tarden en darnos nuestros alimentos, es normal ya que se preparan a momento, eso quiero creer.

Llego nuestra comida, y hasta el momento todo bien, llamamos a uno de los meseros (Ya que el chico que nos atendió lo pusieron como Hostes :() y como algunos que han visitado este restaurante sabrán que se llama al personar con un botoncito. Total llamamos y nos ignoraron, así hasta que una mesera se acercó a atender otra mesa y fue como nos hicieron caso, le pedimos un poco más de los acompañantes (kimchi) que usualmente es gratis.

Bueno total lo pedimos y tardaron en llevarlo, pero lo llevaron, y fue otro mesero diferente al cual le preguntamos si había una bebido y nos dijo "No, no hay" de una forma super grosera. Le íbamos a preguntar otra cosa y nos ignoro totalmente.

Bueno esperamos y apretamos en botón, y nos seguían ignorando, les juro que apretamos el botón unas 7 veces!!! Y nada!

Al fi al terminamos de comer y a la hora de pagar, JAMAS SE NOS AVISO, que se tenia que pagar el 10% de propina, ya que pensábamos dejarla en efectivo. Pero NO, ni siquiera nos avisaron ni nada y nos la cobraron, obviamente fuimos a preguntar el "Por qué?" Se nos cobro este servicio QUE JAMAS NOS DIERON, y el vato dice que era obligatorio, y todo enojado ealeeee. Le dijimos que eso no se podía, y que nunca nos avisaron, según el si nos aviso, PERO YA DESPUES QUE NOS COBRÓ! Total le dijimos que no se podía y no es legal y bien enojado nos regreso lo de la propina y muy indignado nos dijo "En la próxima ocasión les vamos a negar el servicio". Bueno pues gracias a su "Serivicio" no vamos a volver gracias!

Ya habíamos comido antes ahí y nunca nos habían hecho eso hasta hoy!
