Good thing first: Service was really kind and nice. But the bagels were super expensive and just not well made for the price of 200-280 pesos?!?! (I didn’t look at the price which was stupid from me, but who expects a bagel that expensive?!). The bagel was kinda dry, all toppings were fridge cold. Turkey was dry and came in a big chunk in the middle. Felt like subway. Same chunky piece with the extra aguacate. Pastrami with sauerkraut was cool but still not worth the price. I just don’t get it. When you open a gentry - hipster bagel shop for rich people only (which is crazy enough) and you cannot make sure your product is well made, well seasoned so it would at least feel like worth the price, just tell me, why?? Cool that you claim to use organic meat and other quality ingredients when my 10 year old little brother could „cook“ more assemble a bagel better. A bagel that price is ridiculous. Would...
Read moreWow, incredible bagel egg sandwich!! The bagel was so incredibly soft. But I actually went for the chocolate chip cookies because I heard good things and was craving one but it did leave me a little disappointed. The taste was great but it was not “crispy on the outside and chewy in the inside” like it says in the menu. It unfortunately was hard all around. Maybe they weren’t fresh or something but I would give them another chance. If you go on a Saturday, expect slower service. I had to wait about 10-15 minutes to sit at the bar and it was pretty slow to get my food out. But overall, I highly recommend if you’re craving a bagel sandwich & I will be returning!
Update: I went back to give the cookie another try and it was a lot better! I ended up taking it home and eating it warm and it was delicious!! I highly recommend asking for it warm if you plan on...
Read moreI grew up in a largely diverse neighborhood in Cleveland, Ohio. One of the wonderful things about that diversity was the presence of many different ethnicities of people, including that of my Jewish neighbors: and by extension access to some wonderful Jewish bakeries with some of the best bagels around. My favorite bagelery of them all had a most wonderful cinnamon raisin bagel. Growing up I had these bagels weekly(sometimes multiple times a week lol) and have not had a bagel outside of NYC that has ever come close to rivaling that of those bagels of my childhood-until now. The bagels at Bagels Lepu are beyond good, and honestly Fahra and her staff have made a cinnamon raisin bagel that rivals that of the one from my childhood. Thanks for not only making excellent bagels, but for giving some of us a much needed taste of home and connection to...
