Restaurant Árabe Miguel — Restaurant in Mexico City

We went to Arabe Miguel by chance, we had Ubered to a nearby Vietnamese restaurant, which was closed the day we went, and this was right around the corner. We went as a family of 7 and were the first customers of the day. We ordered from the Menu rather than trying the buffet. We love middle eastern food, and Arabe Miguel did not disappoint. For drinks we had pitchers of Mint Lemonade which was excellent and not lacking in flavor, as well as a couple of pitchers of the Mint Lassi which was excellent. The Turkish coffee was also very good. We had the cheese flat bread which was like a pretty good quesadilla, the Stuffed Grape Leaf dish was very good and was served warn rather than cold which is my preference, the Tabule was very good, and they prepared without fresh onion for us, Falafel was very good, Hummus was very good, as was the Baba Ghanoush although a bit on the limey side, the assorted Kebabs (Alambres) were tasty although all of the meat was a bit overcooked, and we tried the Lamb and Chicken Shawarma, which was also god, prepared in flatbread. The setting is so nice. Literally feels like a Middle Eastern spot when you walk in. I ordered 5he grilled fish filled and a side of rice with lentils. They gave me free crispy pita chips and Mexican pickled vegetables. To be honest, the plate was weak and so expensive. Wasn't properly seasoned either. Should've come for the belly dancers. La Comida es buena, el kepe crudo está bastante bueno, sabe cómo el que comemos en casa, tiene todo el sabor casero que recuerdo cuando comía este platillo de niño. En este caso decidí pedir el platillo Miguel, que trae un poco de todo. La mayoría de las cosas estaban ricas, excepto por el kepe bola que tenía un sabor a aceite reciclado (ese aceite con el que se pasan friendo todo un día, en este caso yo creo que hasta era hasta de más días) y eso realmente arruinó el sabor de ese fantástico alimento. Todo lo demás estaba bueno sin ser excepcional. Los rollos de hoja de Parra estaban bastante ricos. Diría que el kepe crudo y los rollos de hoja de parra realmente saben muy bien en este lugar. El tabule no es tan bueno y podrían mejorarlo muchísimo. El café turco estuvo rico. Si vuelvo a ir a este lugar sería lo que pediría otra vez, el kepe crudo, los rollos de hoja de parra y el café turco. El servicio es bueno, las meseras y el bartender son amables y eso es un plus.
