Kalamity Burgers — Restaurant in Mexico City

Not sure how there are so many positive reviews about the sliders. They are not good and they charge an extra $10 pesos for a few drops of “special sauce” which is ridiculous especially since the sauce is definitely not special. I have been to more burger places than I can count and I’ve never heard of charging extra for house sauce or any sauce. It’s also weird that they have a combo meal with two sliders, one with the special sauce and one without. If the sauce is so special why wouldn’t you just put it on both of the sliders in the combo? Super weird and it’s not about the $10 pesos, it’s the principle of the thing. The fries are ok but not amazing. Maybe the cheese fries are better than plain fries? The malts looked good but I didn’t have one. The atmosphere is fun. I went on a Friday night and it was packed. Lots of drinking and having a good time so if that’s what you are looking for then this maybe a good place for it. The service was really great. Very friendly and attentive. I also have an issue with their policy of not accepting $1,000 peso bills. I could understand a smaller business that doesn’t have enough change but this is definitely not the case here. They told me it was “por seguridad”, for security reasons. Sometimes the atm will only dispense $1,000 bills and they are hard to use. Even if your bill is over $1,000 pesos here they still won’t take your money if it’s a $1,000 bill....

From the moment we entered the vibrant courtyard, we were warmly greeted by Lily, our incredible server, who guided us through the multi-level space with genuine care and a huge smile. She made sure we felt at home every step of the way, offering us seating choices as we climbed toward the rooftop oasis—a moody, intimate space with black silk curtains, red accents, and music vibes that hint at something magical after dark.

Lily checked in often without ever hovering, helping us get the best value on sliders, drinks, and even dessert. Her hospitality was next-level—sweet, attentive, and truly personal. The sliders?
