We used to really enjoy the food at Chingu until our most recent experience. We had typically ordered their rice box, and this time something was VERY off about them. Instead of the typical bacon they had what seemed to be sliced grocery store hot dogs? The kimchi was also off and there was no sauce in the box. We ended up throwing our food away unfortunately. With that said, we had enjoyed previous experiences and the atmosphere is very cool.

Very cool space with some delicious Korean food. The chicken bites are particularly amazing, and your meal comes with some tasty banchan. The kimchi fried rice and yubuchobab (with bulgogi of course!) were quite good as well. The deck outside was nice, and the place has a cool vibe overall, and is decently priced. The service was super friendly.

El lugar se siente nuevo un tanto minimalista. Tiene una terraza con varias mesas y espacio interior. En ambos ofrecen bbq coreano. La carta tiene varias opciones en entrantes, sopas y arroces. Pero creo que Justo en su área de bbq hay pocas opciones. Unos tres cortes de carne y unos tres de cerdo. Creo que eso debería de ampliarse, así como ofrecer opciones con otro tipo de proteínas. Yo creo que la comida coreana se mide en la generosidad de sus side dishes o platillos acompañantes, creo que aquí chinguero deja mucho que desear. Si que tienen un sólido kimchi, las clásicas espinacas con aceite de sésamo Y uno que otro encurtido. Creo que también fallan en sus ssams, a verduras para wrap. Solo ofrecen un tipo de lechuga donde extraña no ver la típica col, y algunos otros quelites. Si estás por ahí y quieres coreano esta bien pero creo que te lo puedes saltar. Hay varias opciones nada lejos de ahí que ofrecen una experiencia más completa y auténtica que esta.

Ordered Chingu rice box, Mandu and Korean Fried Chicken on Uber Eats.

Good packaging but underwhelming flavors. Everything tastes over seasoned to me.

The dumpling wrapper of the Mandu is too thick for my liking and the sauce was flat salty.

The rice box did not have a lot of toppings.

The Korean Fried Chicken would have been better with less breading and more juicy meat. The garlic slices are aromatic, but the sauce is once again...

So this isn't a review for the food. This is a review for the amazing service the restaurant provided leading up to the reservation which we couldn't actually make. Sadly I wasn't able to make the large group reservation I made through the great Ms. Castillo. She was super responsive, accommodating and flexible for our 20+ group. Highly recommend working with her and the restaurant if you need a large group...
