El Chanclas — Restaurant in Mexico City

The worst attitude ever. We couldn't´t reserve a table because it was fully booked, when we got there there was an empty table which was reserved for 3pm. It was 3.30 and the extremely rude captain Ivan told us that he was holding the table because they have called saying that they would arrive late. He hold it for more than an hour while we were waiting in the bar. The people finally got there around 4.10 pm, they sat down for a couple of minutes and then they left. We never knew what happened. Ivan never apologized he even seemed to enjoy making us...

I was very disappointed about food! Liked just wine there! Iberian ham was not the best quality and too fat , cheese not good, even salad with tomato and avocado they made horrible because of terrible fat souse! Steak not so great as well! So I ordered a lot of food and went home hungry but drunk because of good red wine !))left in the restaurant make up Dior and they didn’t return me that :( not...

Llegamos y nos recibieron con un gazpacho de cortesía, lo cual siempre se aprecia. De ahí nos trajeron el pan, estaba en el punto entre duro y suave. De ahí la ensalada de tomate con bonito, un sabor muy pimentoso lo cual le daba un sabor único muy rico, excelente para empezar. De ahí un montadito de solomillo sobre una base de socorrat y salsa de rabo de toro, gran textura, buen sabor, pero no era un sabor súper fuerte. Las gambas al ajillo pudieron ser lo mejor de la tarde, muchísimo sabor, tiernitas, y el ajo frito doradito estaba para comérselo solo. De ahí lo principal; los huevos rotos con chistorra. Las papas excelentes, pero la chistorra carecía un poco de sabor considerando lo fuerte que puede ser el sabor, y el huevo de cocimiento, la clara podía estar un poco más cocida. Mi acompañante se pidió el pescado a la romesca, acompañado de una salsa de almendra deliciosa, pudo ser lo mejor de la tarde. Nos dieron un helado de mandarina para limpiar el paladar, y de postre un arroz con leche con un poco de coco, este estaba muy lechoso y traía anís que a nosotros en lo personal no nos fascina.
