One of the most authentic Japanese restaurants in CDMX.

Short version:

The seafood, including sashimi, and Wagyu beef are exceptionally fresh, flavorful, and authentic.

The Japanese food chefs boast decades of culinary experience.

Customer service here is truly top-notch.

If you seek authentic Japanese cuisine without worrying about the budget, this is the place to be.

I highly recommend the Omakase option.

Long version:

While I haven't yet explored every Japanese restaurant in CDMX, I can confidently say that this establishment serves the most authentic and traditional Japanese food, backed by the three reasons mentioned above.

The seafood is impressively fresh, evident the moment you taste the sashimi. The wasabi also stands out—it has a genuine flavor that suggests it is freshly grated, not from a powder.

The rice for the sushi is seasoned as it should be in authentic sushi, which sets it apart from other sushi spots in the city.

Given the quality of the seafood, the authenticity of the wasabi, and the skill of the experienced Japanese food chefs, the sushi here is of the highest caliber.

The Wagyu beef is certified (as one would expect), and the dish comes with a special sauce that enhances its already exceptional flavor. The beef is so tender it melts in your mouth. If you're a beef lover, you must try it; otherwise, you'd have to go to Japan to find such quality.

The chefs, with several decades of experience, prepare each dish with precision, making it feel like you are eating a work of art. Each piece is crafted with care, and it shows in both presentation and taste.

If you have any food allergies or preferences, they are more than accommodating. When I mentioned my dietary needs, they kindly adjusted the Omakase menu for me, though I am not sure if they still offer this level of accommodation for allergies and preferences. It’s always worth asking rather than skipping the opportunity to dine here.

Lastly, the customer service is exemplary. There is a multilingual staff member who can serve in several languages, including Japanese, English, Spanish, Italian, Cantonese, Mandarin, and Korean. They strike the perfect balance, being attentive without interrupting too often. If you need something, a simple glance or hand gesture will bring their attention.

The ambiance is equally impressive. The background music is subtle, allowing for easy conversation without needing to raise your voice. If you're looking to impress someone or hold an important meeting, this is the perfect setting.

I was raised and born in Nihonbashi area in Tokyo, so I am kind of familier with what the traditional and authentic Japanese food is by thanking to my grandmother, haha.

This restaurant inspired me to write such a detailed review because I sincerely wish them success, from one random...

I dined here last night and can say this was easily one of the best omakase experiences of my life. I chose their first option which includes a sake pairing (3k pesos). The fish was incredibly high quality (much of it is flown in fresh from Japan) and the presentation of everything was delightful. The chefs are world class and the amount of detail they put into each dish is extraordinary.

The service was also exemplary. The Japanese lady who was the waitress, was very professional and attentive without being overbearing. She always appeared to explain each new dish and was very helpful when I wanted to order some additional sake. She also spoke multiple languages which was very helpful. I haven’t experienced service this good since being in Japan.

I highly recommend coming here if you want an authentic omakase experience. I’ve eaten a lot of sushi in CDMX and no where else has come close...
