Funky, order at the counter spot. When you enter, it's very confusing because there's no sign that says seat yourself, or what the deal is. Everyone who came in was confused. This is a solvable problem. Get a sign, or greet your guests. Or just move to table service, because you have plenty of staff. Once you decide to just sit down somewhere, there is a qr code for the menu and drinks which you can use to decide, but not order. There are fine print instructions under the qr code to let you know how the whole thing works, but you wouldn't know it until you sit.
Polenta and Italian sausage: So close, because the polenta itself was well prepared, the sauce is great. Unfortunately, the sausage is mouth-numbingly salty. Over the top salt bomb.
Poke bowl: Much better, very fresh, and the kiwi is a nice touch. Good portion for the price.
Great drink selection, and decent drinks.
This is a mixed bag. You have to go up to order and pay, and get your drinks, but they will bring your food. This hybrid situation is not great. Most of the time, the staff is just standing around at the bar doing nothing, might as well have...
Read moreWe went there to meet a couple friends for a drink. Looked nice full of plants and greenery and the weather was nice (thank God not too sunny because there’s no shade) not many people, we sat down and just about to ask something to the “server” and she cuts us right off saying everything has to be ordered at the counter. Sure, I get it but zero welcoming vibe. Then I go with the guy at the counter to order and same lame attitude, I asked for a mocktail because it seemed like a big bar section and he said they couldn’t prepare anything non alcoholic… ok 🙄. Finally we got out food /drinks and after 30 min the server says we have to pay the bill because they will switch shifts and we have to go to the counter 🙄. Honestly I’m annoyed by the poor service attitude and the stupid system of going to the counter for everything. They didn’t forget to ask for tip though, which just did it for me. Food & drinks mediocre, not...
Read moreFantastic beer garden, really gives that respite from the city vibe. On top of that, the music is almost always excellent in different ways and is usually themed... ie. tributes to motown, or 70s era CBGB scene, etc.
The food really surprises, it's more like a higher end, health conscious restaurant than you usually associate with a place like this. Everything I've tried has been excellent. If you're looking for greasy pub food this is not the place for you.
EDIT: disagree with the one review that says the service situation is confusing. It's a beer garden, it's clearly in the name and...
