La Botica — Restaurant in Mexico City

Excellent selection of artisanal mezcals made from many different species of wild agaves and sourced from many areas of Mexico, not just Oaxaca. The pours are large and the prices are very reasonable. Every mezcal I tried was high quality, and I’m very picky. They have several locations in Mexico City. I haven’t tried all of the different varieties that they offer yet but my favorite so far is the Curandero which is agave marmorata (same agave as tepextate)...

Small spot to try local Mezcal. All the bottles are unmarked, and you can choose from a variety of different mezcals on their menu. It's a great quick stop before or after dinner in Roma area. Service seems friendly at first, but at then end I got charged 15% for tip while I clearly said 10%, as the normal tip for Mexico. On top of that the cocktails weee not that great compared to the place I was just before in confessa. I guess they think they can scam who they think are tourists, but we are living here and would never come back...
