Caldos de Gallina "Luis" — Restaurant in Mexico City

We eat here pretty regularly and keep coming back. We also make sure to take all our friends from the US here when they visit. Highly recommend to tourists who want something that actually feels Mexican in Roma.

Get a caldo de pechuga or muslo and a quesadilla. The mole is good but pretty sweet. I also love their horchata and get it every time.

Who doesn’t need chicken soup 24/7 every day of the year? Sometimes it’s an emergency, like feeling down or lonely, and it’s nice to know a warm bowl is standing by. If you’re a foreigner, be prepared to get ripped off. They charged us 250 pesos for two chicken soups and 2 quesadillas which should have been 180. When we asked about it, they said they included the takeout container inside the price… we didn’t have the energy to argue in spanish. Place is also very dirty and soup is filled with chickpeas for the most part....
