La Prosperidad Lonchería — Restaurant in Mexico City

I took a cooking class here with Vanessa, the owner. She and her staff are so kind and so passionate about cooking and the gastronomic history of Mexico. I was able to taste so many of their snacks like quesadillas, sopes, and tlacoyos, all made with fresh masa on the spot. The fillings and sauces like tinga, salsas, and mole were also wonderfully complex. The class was one of the best experiences I had in Mexico because they really explained the significance of each ingredient in their food and paid homage to the traditional cooking techniques. Vanessa is the manager/owner of this restaurant and I have to say I love all of the care and effort she put into it. It’s a lovely and homey restaurant with the perfect vibes for a family dinner or brunch. We also went for her cooking class and were amazed by all of the knowledge she taught us about the corn, salsa, guacamole, and the fusion of Mexican cuisine. No suelo poner opiniones en Google, pero creo que esta vez tendré que hacerlo para se cuiden de este lugar;

Para empezar no hay nadie que te reciba en la entrada, tienes que agarrar tu menú y tus cubiertos que estaban en una caja MUY SUCIA, al subir te recibe un mesero muy grosero, pero ahorita hablamos de el trato del mesero. Las mesas llenas de polvo y comida que se veía que llevaba varios días ahí, los cubiertos estaba sucios o con HUMEDAD que es muchísimo peor. La carta tiene mucha variedad a precios sumamente exagerados para lo que sirven, comida insípida y sin sabor, no siempre tienen disponible todo lo de la carta y tampoco son opciones muy tajantes, en cuanto al mesero, parece que antes que explicarte cómo vienen los platos te regaña siendo tú el cliente, platos con una presentación media, ya que venían manchados de la misma comida, el agua del día que NO SABÍA A NADA y se tardan mucho en servir la comida, la cuenta es muy elevada para los servicios y experiencias que venden.

En conclusión la limpieza y atención es un desastre, los platos regulares y me sorprende que este restaurante esté muy bien ubicado, si tienen la oportunidad de ir, NO VAYAN!
