Pizza Amore — Restaurant in Mexico City

Really interesting idea here. There appear to be at least 3 different businesses ... Pizza Amore, Frida Luna, and another whose name escapes me ... all in a cluster on an elevated patio along Avenida Juarez. And they're each set up in a shipping container. The kitchen and bar for each one is inside a shipping container, which has been modified for such use, and chairs and tables are set up on the patio. There's table service. You're presented with food and drink menus from each of the food businesses, and you make your selection. Even the bathrooms are inside shipping containers. It's a very nice place for a casual bite and a drink with a friend, or for a mid-afternoon snack. The pizza is surprisingly decent. Not what you'll find in NYC of course, but really not bad. I’m Italian and I’m really picky on Italian cuisine. Pizza also is a huge deal when it comes to eat a good one. I found this place roaming on trip advisor searching for a place where to have a early dinner with my husband. Not bad, the staff is careful with customers and serves right away. We ordered two national beers, one chicken breast and one pizzetta 4 formaggi. Portions are enough and beer was cold, plus the view on the Bellas Artes Park makes this a grateful experience. The place is build with recycled containers which is cool and makes the place airy. Large list of drinks and they also have a sushi bar. The pizza was ok but if it’s a 4 cheese has to have 4 cheese not two but was good in any case. The WiFi is also stronger than in any other Starbucks...

This was the closest place to our hotel and we were shattered from walking 20k so just needed to fill a hole before collapsing and, being taco’d out after a few days in CDMX, opted for pizza. Our waiter was a nice chap but it seemed like we were bothering his colleagues by asking questions (almost like they assign you a waiter and they don’t want you bothering them). As for the pizza… it was cooked fresh and served nice and hot but was sadly overly cheesy and quite dense and doughy in parts and also came with a little section missing 🤷🏻‍♂️ as that bit was too thin.
